Check this out: The War on Christians Conference
Their persecution complex would be funny if they weren't so deadly serious about it.

Conference to Include 'Jews Confront The War On Christians' Panel

3/15/2006 11:01:00 AM

To: Assignment Desk, Daybook Editor

Contact: Ray Wilson of Vision America, 866-522-5582

News Advisory:

On March 27 - 28, Vision America's The War On Christians Conference will convene at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The conference is not only the first to address growing attacks on Christians, but will include discussions of every aspect of the War on Christians, including -- Hollywood, the news media, the courts and groups like the ACLU and Anti-Defamation League.

Besides celebrated conservative leaders like Alan Keyes, Gary Bauer, Sen. John Cornyn, Phyllis Schlafly, Sen. Sam Brownback and Rep. Tom DeLay, the conference will feature timely and informative panel discussions.

Among the latter is "Jews Confront the War on Christians." Said Vision America President Rick Scarborough: "I am heartened that these Jewish leaders, activists and intellectuals are making common cause with conservative Christians. They understand that attacks on Christians ultimately are attacks on Judeo-Christian morality."

Speaking on the "Jews Confront The War On Christians" panel are Rabbi Aryeh Spero (an Orthodox rabbi from New York City and a champion of traditional values), Michael Howowitz (a Hudson Institute scholar who's spoken out against the persecution of Christians in the Sudan and elsewhere), Joseph Ben Ami (executive director, of the Institute for Canadian Values) and Don Feder (who's both the president of Jews Against Anti-Christian Defamation and the communications director of Vision America.) The moderator is Jeff Ballabon of the New York-based Center for Jewish Values.

The War on Christians conference will also present the following panels:

-- The Gay Agenda: America Won't Be Happy

-- The ACLU And Radical Secularism: Driving God From Our Public Life

-- Christian Persecution: Reports From The Frontlines

-- Hollywood: Christians Through A Distorted Lens

-- The News Media: Megaphone For Anti-Faith Values

-- The Judiciary: Overruling God

-- Taking Our Faith To The Ballot Box

"Oh, no! We don't hate Christmas! It's the gays and the atheists! Why don't you come for them! They're the ones that hate Christmas! We like you... really... don't put us in the ovens again... Take THEM! THEM!"

Martin Niemoeller was a Protestant pastor born January 14, 1892, in Lippstadt, Westphalia. He was a submarine commander in World War I. He was anti-communist and initially supported the Nazis until the church was made subordinate to state authority.

In 1934, he started the Pastors’ Emergency League to defend the church. Hitler became angered by Niemoeller’s rebellious sermons and popularity and had him arrested on July 1, 1937. He was tried the following year and sentenced to seven months in prison and fined.

After his release, Hitler ordered him arrested again. he spent the next seven years in concentration camps in “protective custody.“ He was liberated in 1945 and was elected President of the Protestant church in Hesse and Nassau in 1947. He held the title until 1964. He was also a President of the World Council of Churches in the 1960’s.

Niemoeller was a pacifist who spoke out against nuclear weapons. He is best known for his powerful statement about the failure of Germans to speak out against the Nazis:

“First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out.

And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.

He died in Wiesbaden on March 6, 1984.

27. Having the Christian righties and the Jewish righties
getting together seems like a bad thing. They can feed their persecution complexes at the same time they work on persecuting others.

And if we can't complain about the Jewish righties just like we do the Christian righties - then that's fucked up. I think there should be equal opportunity complaining. And I don't know why there is an article on the homepage suggesting lefties are anti-semitic that refers people to Frontpage Mag. - a Jewish rigthtie (Horowitz) organization.

37. Wow - that is crazy - if only THAT were in the news....
JewishWorldReview.com has discovered that prominent religious conservatives — Jews, Catholics and Evangelical Christians — are allied with a radical Islamic group to stop gay marriage. Pushing a constitutional amendment that would restrict marriage to heterosexuals, they work with the Islamic Society of North America. What is ISNA? According to terrorism expert Steve Emerson, ISNA:

•has held fundraisers for terrorists (e.g., after Hamas leader Musa Marzuk was arrested, it raised money for his defense, claiming he was innocent and not connected to terrorism)

•has condemned US seizure of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad assets in the United States after 9/11

•has consistently sponsored speakers at their conferences that defend Islamic terrorists. Recently, a leader denied in an interview with an NBC affiliate that ISNA took any Saudi money but that was a brazen lie as evidenced by a recording of an ISNA conference in which it was revealed that money came from Saudi Arabia.

It just goes to show you - you never know. They seem the most at odds on most things - Israel vs. Hamas - & Daniel Pipes comes to mind - with his Islamaphobia rants.

as a pre-emptive measure.

It's really sad the way Christians in America can't find jobs without encountering discrimination...can't rent or buy places to live due to all the persecution they encounter. I feel so bad for them - they can't marry, have to worry about thugs beating them up and worse as they walk down the street. And the way Congress is constantly trying to deny them their civil rights with laws banning them from marrying and from having control of their bodies...shameful.

Remember the old John the Baptist laws when Christians couldn't eat at lunch counters? or ride in the front of the bus? or go to school with non-Christians? How they had to use separate water fountains and bathrooms? How they had to stay in the closet or risk losing everything? How not moving out of the way when a non-Christian walked by could get them arrested? How just looking at a non-Christian woman could get them lynched? When Christians couldn't vote? Couldn't own land? How a Christian will never be considered electable for President? How about how Christians can't walk around a department store without being followed for being Christian? Remember when it was against the law to teach a Christian to read? And let's not forget DWC(driving while Christian)

sigh

42. Yes. It's enough to weep over - remember when
Christian children were ripped out of their homes and given to non-Christians so the children wouldn't have to grow up among such savages? And I really cry when I think of the Trail of Footprints in the Sand - when Christians were forced to march hundreds of miles because they were thrown off their lands and forcefully moved to remote, undeveloped, regions.

And how tragic it was that Christians were made to speak english and to deny their own language - as a means of forced assimiliation because the idea was that non-Christians were somehow superior?

I may need another hankie.

33. When will they ever realize that it isn't their religion under attack
it's their fanaticism! No one cares what they believe as long as they don't impose their beliefs on us. Why is this concept so hard for them to grasp?

I think they really do believe it's "the end times" and since in "the end times" believers are supposed to be persecuted they think if they make it look good enough God/Jesus will realize "the end times" are here.

When the Bible talks about the end times though I get the sense that the "persecution" it speaks of is a little more relevant than someone telling them to piss off!

52. What a crock of festering excrement
My cable company has at least five networks devoted exclusively to Christian programming. This does not include Christian programming on networks not exclusively Christian. How is the media a "megaphone for anti-faith values"?

Christians have taken over the government, leading to same-sex marriage bans in at least 11 states, an abortion ban in South Dakota and a likely abortion ban in Mississippi. More regressive legislation is in the works.

Television programs that are disliked by Christians are promptly barraged by phone calls and e-mails to the point that they go off the air, sometimes after just a few episodes. Christians won't tolerate any programming they consider remotely offensive to them (which could be anything really), but it is perfectly ok for their programming to rail in the most crudely offensive ways against anybody and anything they choose.

Frankly, these people like playing the victim. They consider anybody resisting their efforts at a totalitarian takeover of America an attack on them. It is complete BS.
