Reporters laughing - and saying - What a Disgrace!

On yahoo telestream, they kept the camera on for a few seconds after it ended.

They were making fun of Bush.

One said - What a disgrace!

exit strategy.

39. That isn't what a reporter does
He or she turns in what was said, an editor edits it for spelling and clarity, the rewrite guy makes it look snappier, and it gets published. It's not an opinion piece. The reader is supposed to add "what a disgrace" after reading what the nitwit said.

9. I don't have a link. It was just a little blip of the room.

They kept the cameras rolling after the conference ended for about 10 - 15 seconds. And, you could hear the reporters comments and laughter.

I was watching on the yahoo live stream.

25. Oh, great! I can see how this will be translated by the so-called
'librul' press into: 'President B* had the reporters laughing and approving of his Q&A session today, with apparent relaxing of tensions.' Of course, with all negative comments scrubbed clean.

22. I'm not sure where that question is coming from
But touch screens can be made easier to use than other methods - particularly for those with limited literacy or comprehension of english.

The problem isn't touch screens, its unverified touch screens. In an ideal situation, you do the touch screen thing, get a paper ballot with your selections on it, look it over and drop it in the box.

34. Exactly - touchscreens with a printout to check against
If it matches, put it in the ballot box and leave. If not, call the pollworker.

We should also crosscheck the count from the printed ballots against the machine totals at the precinct level before certifying an election. Accountants can make a corporations books balance, we should be able to do the same with vote counting.

We could take a few farcical jabs at the press, too.

I would have him give his normal press conference, with normal stupid answers, then at the end say: "Hey, you've been Punked. I was just bullshitting you. You don't think I was serious, do you?"

That way he can he an idiot and pretend to be clever.

The press is asleep. He insulted them with that remark during the press conference.
He said they were not paying attention, now, that's a first for me that I had to agree with him even though I loath him.
He is a disgrace and the white house press is complacent

15. Did you hear the Chimp's offhand comment...
"They're telling me what to say here," as he was trying to figure out which reporter to call on next. Sounds like he was trying to "listen" to someone as well as "looking" at his script.

I think he was wired.

16. You notice that "grunt" he makes before answering some questions?
I've noticed that "unh" gutteral sound he utters after certain questions -- and I believe that this grunt is his cue to the handlers that he needs help with the question and this is when the earpiece activates and he gets the soundbites. Check it out and notice that after that "unh" he rambles and stammers and pauses, waiting for the answer to be fed to him.

24. And at one point..
...he was asked (I think) about interest rates and he started to answer, stopped and then said, "I'm stalling here while I uh...think."

Waiting for the voice in his earpiece to kick in, more likely.

28. Go here:
http://www.c-span.org/

Under "Recent Programs" click on "Pres. Press Conference."

Once the whole conference loads, go to the "43:00" mark of the conference. At about 43:10 or 43:15, he makes the remark.

Also at 40:00 and a few seconds he remarks, "I'm stalling for time here."

How transparent can one be?

Bushisms make me sad. The very sound of his voice depresses me, and pictures of him are almost enough to bring me to tears.

36. Tyler, your said it all in your 7/22/03 post.
You knew it then and it's worth repeating:
"futility Tyler Durden, July, 2003

I am so very tired of the fight.
The un-herded cats scratch out each other's eyes
Tears become blood under the black sky.
We have sharpened our opponents claws for them.

Hope is dying on a charity Cancer Ward in the Inner City
In the ballroom Billionaire Gypsies dance wildly
To fiddle music played by Satan (Brimstone in 3/4 time).

Dinner will never be served.
The cooks will argue over the sauce
While the guests starve to death.
The host is the Antichrist and no one declined His invitation
And we have only ourselves to blame."

It stays with me.
