Why do the news people say we're "entering the third year of the war"?
Wasn't yesterday the third anniversary of the invasion? Doesn't that mean we're entering the fourth year?

1. I've been reading today that it's the fourth year ...
which would be accurate. Are you hearing the third year on TV? Maybe the print services didn't get the Rovian talking points today.

14. Heart it on TV on two different local stations.
I put on the TV to hear the weather report, heard that "third year" garbage, yelled at the TV, changed the channel and heard it again.

Must. Calm. Down.

8. Most people only skim headlines and absorb smaller unimportant facts...
So when you casually insert false facts in there, the dim witted are more prone to believe it. Then when you get an intellect like kerry out there, they're sitting there scratching their heads goin' 'huh?'. It's a tactic that's sadly been quite effective over the democratic party as of late...much of the reason IMO republicans are against education. They gain support through ignorance.

15. Maybe they are calling Mar 2003-Feb 2004 Year 0
The way a person is not called age 1 until he/she has actually gone into their second year.

Like so: "The three year old conflict...blah, blah...".

It would be a slick way into misleading people into thinking the war hasn't lasted as long as it has. It's just another way of lying with the truth.

18. That's why they don't want us educated
Because we can't be fooled so easily.

33% of us can be fooled that easily... I think... that number still seems way too high... can't be that many idiots here, I mean, really!
