OK. J.Hanson says that the Clinton WH was...
too aggressive, trying to make Global Warming seem worse than it was, yet he is now on 60 minutes to say we had better do something fast. I mean, I know it is good that he is speaking out, but maybe the Clinton WH decided to really get the fear into people to really get people to act. Now, it may be too friggin' late, and in any event, the chimp will not do a damn thing to fix it.

1. Is it possible to be too alarmist about destroying the earth's fragile
ecology? I don't think so.

Once it's broke it's broke. If you don't understand (or care) how it broke, how are you going to fix it?

I don't think you can be too aggressive about making the dangers known and raising awareness.

2. Once we start to die off...
...the earth will be fine. It will fix itself without our interference. We, on the other hand,...

9. Well... It's all a matter of follow up.
You know it's a lot like the color coded security threat junk we see. you keep seeing orange and nothing happens. Pretty soon you are oblivious to the threat level.

If you don't follow up the alarm with life changing measures or if the public fails to see some change, then the public will become glazed over with the repetitive warnings.

The Boy who cried wolf syndrome... as it were. :')

10. George Carlin has a bit on this.
He says that the planet will be fine. Its the human species that will become extinct.
"Ask the people in Pompei, frozen in lava, if the planet is in danger."
I do feel that we as humans will temporarily fuck up the planet, but Earth will cleanse itself like it has for billions of years. Our planet still be here long after we are gone.

11. I know...
...What's the one line? "(The earth) will shake us off like a bad case of fleas?" Gotta love Carlin, buth for his humor and his perspicacity.

4. Oh, so he admits that the Clinton Administration did its job and tried
to educate us in correct proportion to the threat? Those sons of bitches can never admit they were wrong. They'd rather say that Clinton was too aggressive, rather than to admit they were wrong not to listen.

That's the problem with Republicans. They won't listen, and they NEVER admit they were wrong.

Al Gore wasn't considered to be a "strong" leader, boy were the assholes wrong. There is a difference between stubborn and stupid like *, or strong and intellectual like Gore. Wonder what they might be thinking now. Too late if I was Gore I'd tell um to f*&^ themselves
