Is there such a thing as political bigotry?
I guess I only tend to be aware of this when its directed at Democrats by groups furthur to the left.

I hate being classified with the worst of the Democratic party and lumped into a faceless nondimensional group.

But I guess I'm thinking that I probably do it too, when I lump all Republicans together...

1. My wife's made that accusation at me
when I've spent too much time bashing Repugs.

She's a Libertarian, so she sees too much value in parts of their ideology.

4. There most certainly is
I work with a guy who is one of the most belligerently republican people I have ever come across (nice guy otherwise) and anything that might even possibly be either linked to the Democratic Party or be in opposition to the Repug party lines, in his eyes, is as good as worthless and as bad as pure concentrated evil.

He will even deride ideas and opinions he agrees with if they were said by a democrat or in reference to one (unless derogatory). Its pathetic. His arguments in defense of GW are always the same (not true, can't prove it, Clinton did worse)and I swear he has his head buried so far in the sand that glass should be shooting out of his a$$.

So, yes, there is such a thing as political bigotry and, like all other forms of bigotry, Repugs seem to have cornered the market on it.
