Creditors Hit Reservist Hard Despite Federal Laws

(CBS 13) SACRAMENTO “The call came. They expected me at Travis the following day,” said Oscar Rodriguez, former Air Force reservist.

For a year after that day in 2002, Air Force reservist, Oscar Rodriguez fought in the middle east. That’s nothing compared to the battle he’s fought ever since.

The problem is what when he shipped out, he left behind the contracting business he spent 15 years building.

“I realized a 90 percent cut in pay. Now, I don’t know anyone that can continue on with the bills at one tenth of their income. It’s really tough,” said Rodriguez.

“The day after Oscar was deactivated from duty, the Bank of America started foreclosing on my house,” said Oscar. They didn’t succeed, but the collections left his business, his credit and his marriage in shambles.

4. Where is the outrage from our politicians?
Used to be, it was well understood that fighting men and women couldn't be pursued while they were serving.

Bank of AMERICA, my ass!!

5. Republicans hate small business owners
the bs about repukes 'luving' small business is as believable as repukers loving minorities and atheists. Sad. Tragic. Unnecessary - the guy should have NEVER been made active duty. Guess he wasn't rich enough. :eyes:
