1. This is insane....especially after the bandaid has been
pulled back and has shown that the Ports are not protected at all.....

This should piss some more Americans off..

5. Only $1.7B?
I thought there was $10B budgeted for Star Wars this year. And much more for other conventional war hardware development which has little to do with the type of warfare we face (thanks to *) these days.

8. Yep. Priorities. Money for star wars goes directly to the military
industrial congressional pockets, whereas money for port security might actually go to a working stiff. Besides, no one will notice that star wars doesn't work as long as N. Korea or Russia don't attack us. However, we do have a possibility of something getting through our ports and that would make the administration look bad.
