Operation Swarmer is a fake
no american media allowed - per barbara starr on cnn

video of troops leaving chinook helicopter is from defense department.

they were dumped off in the middle of nowhere. (supposedly samarra but no actual pics of samarra)

more defense department video of troops is from march 7th and could have been filmed anywhere.

the potUS had nothing to do with it (it was the commanders on the ground per scot mcclellan)

politically timed for bush's statement today.

1. Let's hope so...
That would be preferable to killing women and children.

3. Rummie's Propoganda Ministry -
Washington, D.C., January 26, 2006 - A secret Pentagon "roadmap" on war propaganda, personally approved by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld in October 2003, calls for "boundaries" between information operations abroad and the news media at home, but provides for no such limits and claims that as long as the American public is not "targeted," any leakage of PSYOP to the American public does not matter.

Obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by the National Security Archive at George Washington University and posted on the Web today, the 74-page "Information Operations Roadmap" admits that "information intended for foreign audiences, including public diplomacy and PSYOP, increasingly is consumed by our domestic audience and vice-versa," but argues that "the distinction between foreign and domestic audiences becomes more a question of USG intent rather than information dissemination practices."

14. Swarmer : Definition
Edited on Thu Mar-16-06 07:29 PM by hexola
An aggregation of persons or animals, especially when in turmoil or moving in mass

Bees swarm as a defensive move...

Im not really standing up for this idea - just throwing it out there...

Still along the lines of fake though...

6. They arrrested 41 insurgents
Edited on Thu Mar-16-06 07:24 PM by MissWaverly
500 people have been murdered since the Golden mosque was blown up, what does that
tell you? I saw an interview on Jim Lehrer where they said there are 13 major highways
in Iraq, the insurgents just get in their car and are very quickly somewhere else if there is trouble. They also said that whan the America forces take a town and then leave, the
insurgents just come in and kill anyone that has been friendly to the Americans so
the people know now to stay away from the Americans. This was from a retired colonel
and a from a retired marine captain.

8. my sense is that no embedded press this time for a couple reasons...
at least a couple = key press figures are every bit as likely to get whole chunks of their heads blown off = bad press; and the level of heinous activity that is being planned may well be even further, even more (if indeed that is possible) unpalatable to american's that now have their antennae up about these matters finally!!! = more bad press, it's all about the control of message

9. for the military training files.....
Funny this was brought up here in DU about this 'new' operation as it reminded me of so many 'photo ops of special ops' that our military loves creating for their rah-rah training films to hype up the recruits for Old Glory and Apple Pie. You gotta figure... when a war bogs down into an old fashion guerrilla style slug fest, that Uncle Sammy needs that propaganda booster shot for the American public to rally around the flag pole with. I didn't look any further into this Operation Swarmer today after hearing about it but that did crossed my mind how this was probably another 'huuurah' production ... being made for movie special in a year or so about this great 'sweep' pulled on Samarra to excite the war cause in Iraq..... featuring the silent stars of this pathetic Iraq mess ..... the entire American nation under Bush siege.

10. They did everything except play "Ride of the Valkries" in the backround.
Utterly fake, made-for-TV excercise.

These asshats and their propaganda...
it's like the Wizard of OZ, after Toto pulls back the curtain...

_IF_ the penultimate scene was six years long,
and comprised entirely of the wizard
jabbering that "I am the Great and Powerful OZ" line
over and over and over......

11. Mission accomplished!
It doesn't have to be real - this presidency ain't real, but they keep steamrolling along without anything more than speed bumps. As long as the MSM is controlled by Repukes, Bush can create any illusion he wants to be fed via TV and radio into working class homes. Who need the truth when you have the media?

Operation Swarmer sounds like we are swarming the enemies nest! Smoke'um out! :eyes:
