Is Kerry relevant to the passage of censure?
Do we really need the Democrats support on this?

BTW, Kerry is supporting Feingold on this.

He is money in the bank on Feingold ....
btw ... Feingold's censure motion has gone to committee

Today we need pressure on ANWR.

7. Just too, too busy to publish a strong statement! Just like the stolen
election, just like the illegal war, something always comes up to trump war and constitutional crisis!

10. To my knowledge, nobody has yet .
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 03:18 PM by Mass
Harkin is reported to co-sponsor, but has said little yet.

Get over it. We have 4 senators that say they will vote for it, 4, that is all, and you chose to pick one of those.

What is your goal?

If you want a strong statement, do what I did? Call his office or email him.

12. Feingold had moved it to committee - you think he wants Kerry to drop ANWR
fight that is happening TODAY?

Geez - did Feingold get hounded like this for not supporting the Downing Street Memo inquiry? No.

Kerry gets more hounding even being one of the few who SUPPORTS Feingold's censure and WHILE he's leading the fight for ANWR on the senate floor TODAY.

I don't think it's possible to spell it out for people who refuse to read, however.

2. Good luck - a couple of posters have passed my stage of idiocy
We have 4 senators saying they would vote for censure and they pick on one of the 4, rather than on the 40 remaining democrats.

I guess this is another planet.

9. Or highlighting the weakened activists too distracted to notice that GOPs
are attacking ANWR today.

Kerry supports censure - Feingold moved it to committee for later - ANWR being attacked TODAY - Kerry is the lead on ANWR.

4. Censure's going to committee, let's focus on ANWR assault going on TODAY
that Kerry needs to lead on.

Kerry's already supporting censure, but TODAY is the day to lead on ANWR. I am sure Feingold wants Kerry to focus on that TODAY while he works with the judiciary committee and gathers more support for censure.

Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 03:22 PM by WildEyedLiberal
That it's batshit stupid for certain people with obvious agendas to bitch about KERRY of all people when he's a) already on board for the censure and b) trying to protect ANWR when c) 40 Democrats have not even pledged to support the censure yet.

The only reason anyone would criticize Kerry over this if they are a troll or a disruptor.

17. Egg Zac Lee!
I have noticed a calculated attempt to disrupt here. Remember the heat we built on Alito .....
Well, DU is no doubt the target for people who want to disrupt us.

"tom, of course i remember you. those were the best of times and the worst of times, as has been said. it's nice to hear from you, and I'm glad that you appreciate jk's efforts to block alito. he's taking a lot of heat for it. i bet not too many senators want to talk to him right now. such is life. i'm glad he did it."

That is the exact e mail I got from a friend on Kerry' staff about Alito .... he took real heat for try to filibuster
and now he is trying to stop ANWR & is on board w/ Feingold ............. Sure I am still smarting over the 04
election and I live in Ohio too .... Yes, and I was disappointed in the way things went but:

Eyes on the prize.
