I have been calling the Democratic Senators on the censure resolution

boy their lines are much busier than usual. Unfortunately there are only to Senators who would definitely commit to support it:

John Kerry and Tom Harkin

The fortunate part is that most have NOT expressed an opinion, and their lines are extremely busy with people I sense urging them to do the right thing

3. GOPs may be using this to push ANWR through today. Kerry's fighting it

on the floor again. Please accept his support of censure and let him do this battle that needs attending to TODAY.

Maybe you can add ANWR alert to your post - if people call senators, ANWR fight is TODAY.

If we got every Dem on board for Censure or Impeachment it would of course fail on a straight party line vote.

So the point, at this jucture, can't be of either actually censuring or impeaching because the numbers just aren't their. The point is to use the issue of accountabilty to win back the House and or Senate in 06

Congress realizes that the president broke the law by violating the FISA ACT

and those that vote for censure disapprove of what he did, while those who vote against the censure approve of what he did

the reason to know which Senators vote for Censure or vote against Censure?

We already know that with the Repo majority Senate the measure will fail at this time.


For the sake of arguement, let's assume all Sen. Demos (and Independent Jeffords) voted yes on censure and all Repos voted no.

What is the benefit in knowing this information? How does it change things or make things better?

Or, for the sake of arguement, let's assume all Sen. Demos except Nelson (KS) and Liebermann (and Independent Jeffords) voted yes on censure and all Repos voted no except Snowe.

I am interested in your analysis. I favor both censure and impeachment, but that's besides the point of my question.
