Billboard in Houston: 1070AM LIBERALS HATE IT!
I was on my way to work this morning and saw this, I thought...WTF? The "liberals hate it" was more bold and that stood out more so I saw that first. All I could do was shake my head. The hateful conservatives must really be losing their base if they have to interject liberals in their advertisements.

I think just the EXACT opposite...

8. Yup
Ronald Raygun started it. Poppy Bush used to sneer "liberal" and laugh at the applause it got him.

I remember when being liberal started to become an asset. Haven't seen it come back yet.

Generating hatred is the GOPs primary talent...no suprise. They are so proud of it.

23. You have that 100% correct. Dividers NOT Uniters. And as for the
Party of "Moral Values?"...how wrong they have proven THAT to be. The Monica Scandal was a NOTHING in comparison to what these criminal thugs have done. They breed HATRED to generate FEAR. Fear is the most potent method of control of power...look what it has produced? Spineless Dems, for one thing. I won't even consider most of them 'leaders.' I am truly ashamed of the Democrats response to the Feingold Censure. For his numerous offenses, B* deserves NOTHING LESS THAN IMPEACHMENT!

We've got 560AM here in Chicago for Repug bloviators, and their billboards say the same, "Liberals Hate It." They're pathetic.

And most of us aren't masochists.

(Not that there's anything wrong with sado-masochism between consenting adults.)

She is not perfect but nobody would mistake her for a Republican.

I know quite a few Liberals--but I do live Inside the Loop. They are scarcer in Far Suburbia, but not extinct.

Pray, tell us where you live.

I saw it and I thought: "Hating liberals? In CHICAGO?" The professor I was with at the time commented that it was for the suburbanites coming to work in Chicago, which made sense. Still surprising, though.

But I continue to say in-ter-con-ti-nen-tal airport. 7 syllables instead of 3. I'm making it hard on myself! And it's not hatred, the dad isn't as bad as the shrub. The shrub has made it such a bad name, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth!

It's not against the law to carry a weapon in your car, so some conservative would see someone spray painting over it and may take the notion to take a shot. You never know.

Or we could hire some taggers...

Note: This is a JOKE! Defacing a billboard might be fun.

So I won't have to listen to right wing broadcasts anymore. That's
all we can get here. I had to give up my USA Today newspaper in order to pay the $12.95 a month. A good trade-off IMO.

The three stations mentioned...Houston 1070AM, Chicago 560AM, and Atlanta 920AM are all owned
by Salem Communications Corporation, a network of (95) stations - (60) in the top 25 markets -
"...targeted to Christian and family themes audiences." Closely allied with the Council For National
Policy (CNP). Far-reich. Know thine enemy; these are NOT Christian, doubt if they've ever heard of
the parables. Links:

46. Salem "Media" At Work...Major GOOP Astroturfers
This is a company that operates right wing hate radio stations in major markets funded by running religious "dollar-a-hollar" preacher and Christian rock stations...along with a nice cash inflow from folks like the Scaiffes and other right wing slush funds.

They have a similar billboard for WIND here in Chicago...they're placed safely in the Repugnican suburbs. I've also seen the same billboard for KRLA in Orange County.

This is the company that bankrolls liars like Bettamillion Bill Bennett, Lucious Laura Ingraham, Puke Hewitt, Hypocrite Medved and a certain Michael Weiner. You want to hear the parallel universe? The culture war in full swing? Tune to your local "Patriot" affiliate.

Fortunately these stations draw poor ratings, but they're well funded and not going away.
