Controversial South Park episode is being aired tonight
This is the one that evidently was the last straw for Isaac Hayes, where they poke fun at Scientology. It originally aired last November, it's on again tonight at 10pm on Comedy Central. I believe the new season starts either next week or the week after.

Coincidence that this episode is being repeated the same week that Hayes calls it quits?

1. I saw that episode the first time
IMO, it's not too outrageous. If Isaac has a problem, well... :nopity:

4. I thought that
Comedy Central was not going to air that episode again? I just scanned the Rolling Stone article about Scientology where I thought I read it, but I was mistaken. It must be a rumor I picked up off Dlisted.

I am sorry to hear about Isaac Hayes. I really liked Chef. And no, I don't think it is a coincidence.

Where Father Maxie goes to the Vatican to try to get all priests to stop molesting boys.

7. It was pretty funny
and not that far from the truth. I loved the captions "This is what they actually believe".

Granted, IMO it's hardly much more nutty than Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc., all of which have been mocked and parodied in some way by SP.

9. It was a hilarious episode! One of the few I watched in the past season.
They gave a South Park view of what Scientology was, and there were "guest appearances" of Tom Cruise (who wouldn't come out of a closet) and John Travolta.

13. I can't believe anyone can believe Scientology as a religion
Do any of these people ever read about their glorious leader other than in materials generated by Scientology?

15. true, but I can make excuses for the older ones
But when you can read about your Prophet's life as a science fiction writer, well, that ought to be the stopper for religion.
