Bush's own General won't stand behind this lie
"Some of the most powerful IEDs we're seeing in Iraq today includes components that came from Iran." Bush, Iraq Speech

US general says no proof Iran behind Iraq arms

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Asked whether the United States has proof that Iran's government was behind these developments, Marine Corps Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the military's Joint Chiefs of Staff, told a Pentagon briefing, "I do not, sir."

5. or,
both. I would like to believe there still exists some dormant code of honor among the officers. It's so part of their identity during their training.

6. we're talking about Pace
he's got a long way to go to regain any 'honor' from his involvement in Bush's illegal war.

But, I appreciate his unwillingness to lie. Funny how that appeals these days. Defining despotism down.

He is going to be busted in rank, moved to a crappy position or forced to retire.

9. how many munitions dumps were unguarded? Bushco will say anything
to paper over a civil war and any responsibility his admin has for it--it's not "al-quaeda in Iraq or dead enders" it's a civil war within the country.

13. DIA's Pat Lang says Iran was behind the Chalabi spying on US
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 02:31 PM by EVDebs
and that Chalabi was an Iran spy.

Bombshell: Chalabi & Top INC Official Are Spies for Iran; Op Inadvertently Paid for by Pentagon
Iran used Chalabi to dupe U.S., report says (5/22/2004 - Seattle Times)
http://www.subliminalnews.com/archives/000182.php

and

""The Defense Department this week halted payment of $340,000 a month to Chalabi's program.

Patrick Lang, former director of the DIA's Middle East branch, said he had been told by colleagues that Chalabi's U.S.-funded program to provide information about weapons of mass destruction and insurgents was effectively an Iranian intelligence operation. "They (the Iranians) knew exactly what we were up to," he said.

He described it as "one of the most sophisticated and successful intelligence operations in history."

"I'm a spook. I appreciate good work. This was good work," he said. ""

So, from the get-go, the Iraq adventure was an Iranian assisted fiasco. Does that mean that the Bush administration's errors can result in treason charges ? I wouldn't hold my breath about a Congressional investigation, at least not until 2006 when the Democrats get control of the House and Senate. Then and only then will justice be done.

"Inadvertently" ? Where, oh where, is the DOD's Office of Inspector General ?

11. The Rumsfeld strategy had us bypass munitions all over Iraq.
Once again the civilian leadership lies, hides behind our military and puts them in a position where it takes great courage to simply tell the truth.
