Russert and Allen sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g, Huff Post breakdown
I hope this isn't a dupe but Cesca over at Huffington Post has Russert and Allen's Sunday MTP interview nailed to a tee. It would be funny if it weren't so damn sad.

Appears that Timmy and George Allen are doing everything in their power to promote Allen as "Rove's Head GOP Presidential Candidate for 2008." Allen is so far up Chucklenuts' and Rove's ass he hasn't seen sunshine since Jan. 2001. Cesca does a fine job of parsing the whole interview.

This is just a bit at the end:

Let's try a round of what I like to call "Six Degrees of Meet the Press."

George Allen mentioned Clean Coal on Meet the Press today. Meet the Press sold advertising time to LearnAboutCoal.org, a Clean Coal proponent. The "non-profit" and "non-partisan" Learn About Coal organization's website domain name is registered to CEED, the Center for Energy and Economic Development. CEED's vice chairman is Michael Ward. Michael Ward is the chairman and CEO of the CSX Corporation. Guess who used to be the chairman and CEO of CSX? Treasury Secretary John Snow. Who was the chairman of CSX/Sea-Land under Snow? David Sanborn. In January of this year, David Sanborn was nominated by President Bush as the next Administrator of the Maritime Administration (Dept. of Transportation). Who does Sanborn work for right at this very minute? Dubai Ports World, which acquired CSX's ports for $1.15 billion in 2004. And finally, who introduced David Sanborn's nomination in the Senate? Senator George Allen.

So that was more like 10 degrees. 10 shameful degrees forming a Mobius Loop of financial and political incest.

Meet the Press and George Allen need to come clean about who they're in bed with. In the interest of being their own persons, of course.

2. Good idea but I'm betting he has quit reading his mail years ago.
He cannot possibly be unaware of how biased his reporting is or he would at least try to attempt to be more covert. I'm thinking he just doesn't give a damn what anyone else thinks, he is Tim Russert and like the pope, infallible.

3. Russert is the most dangerous of the propagandists - because the people
DON'T KNOW that he's one of the chief tools for the fascist agenda. They are told over and over again that he's a "hard-hitting journalist holding the powerful accountable" when he's actually doing the EXACT OPPOSITE.

I am compelled to post this on any threads pertaining to Virginia's Junior Senator from California

Because of President Reagan's steadfast determination, hundreds of millions of people tasting that sweet nectar of liberty in central Europe are now friends and allies," said Senator Allen.

Ronald Reagan's election changed the dynamic of the Cold War from one of containment and co-existence to the advancement of freedom. As a result, hundreds of millions of people in Central Europe, once behind the Iron Curtain, now taste the sweet nectar of liberty, have joined NATO, and are true friends and allies.

6. Perfect campaign slogan for the Dems if Allen is the candidate
in 2008 - "Vote against Allen - America can not endure another stupid southern who got where he is because of his father."

That picture says it all.

9. THAT is what is so scary - he is a perfect candidate for the GOP.
The fundy, neocon, knuckle dragging trash talkers will take to him like duck to water. If he had used more than two syllables in a word it would have instantly disqualified him from consideration. They like them dumb, clueless and malleable.
