8. Actually, the democrats dont want a vote on this.
Frist would have been more than happy to have a vote. He tried hard yesterday. My guess is that the centrists were against it.

10. Once it hits committee, it will be dead in the water UNLESS
the Democrats take control of the the Senate and it waits until late January 2007.

9. But Frist called for an immediate vote, dems objected
then he called for a vote with no debate, dems objected again, then I swear I heard him schedule either a vote or debate for this afternoon after budget discussion.

I'm going to keep the TV on all day... I'll let ya know if anything happens.

12. I posted what I read. I cant tell you more except that some
GOPers were no more happy to have a vote on that than the Democrats did. Probably, they prevailed.

13. UPDATE - no vote - referred to Senate Judiciary Committee
Edited on Tue Mar-14-06 11:12 AM by Viva_La_Revolution
Senate Democrats refused to allow a vote yesterday on a proposal by one of their own to censure President Bush for his warrantless terrorist-surveillance program.
Sen. Russell D. Feingold accused Mr. Bush yesterday of breaking the law and lying to Congress for ordering eavesdropping within the United States without warrants. The Wisconsin Democrat introduced in the Senate an official resolution to censure Mr. Bush, which by nightfall had been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee for consideration.

I'm hoping /fingerscrossedsmiley/ that since Feingold is a member of that committee, he won't let it fall down the well.

I'll keep my eyes on the Committee schedule, and let ya'll know when/if it happens.

To hold hearings to examine pending calendar

(hopefully we will see something on the schedule after this meeting)
