the insurgents (or terrorists) are using the pictures we see on television
to fight the war on terror, to intimidate us and get us to withdraw support for the war on terror, said poppy's eldest son yesterday on a speech being replayed at one o'clock in the morning on c-span. but the carnage we see on television will increase in the days and months to come, poppy's eldest son said. murricah will stay the course, poppy's son said, we are not going to give an inch. but i bet our television sets will, i bet we will get fewer and fewer pictures of the iraq carnage on our television sets, because just like the 9/11 carnage, poppy's son will now use what he claims is the terrorists most recent method of fighting the war on terror (the pictures we see on our television sets) to squeeze more freedom of speech out of our already duck-taped media and censor it even further.

the spin boy needs first to be arrested, then he needs to be locked up in a cell with mass murderers. because, in fact, that is what he is.

1. And we're getting the sanitized version
on our "TV screens".

Just think what seeing the real thing first-hand really does to rile up the people who hated us in the first place . . .

7. and what would it do to us as a PEOPLE...would we find the courage to
march on the white house and depose our very own dictator? Would the sharpshooters and other paramilitary forces positioned on and around the white house join us and give us a free pass?

the man needs to go!

12. Remember what the Government did to
the Bonus Army in 1932 and Chicago DNC 1968. Violence will be used to disperse any protests...

2. I want to know what television he's watching.
The stuff I see on my tv is pretty tame compared to what I saw of the war in Vietnam. If this sanitized version of the war is making US citizens withdraw support, I wonder what the real war news would do for the people of this country?

8. he is probably watching either one of these two channel, DELUSIONAL TV, or
FANTASY CHANEL.

Should we be given the opportunity to watch REAL LIFE IN IRAQ T.V. we might as a people march on the white house te depose the warrior king.

4. I couldn't believe that Hannity was referring to Pierce as the "next" Bush
I heard the audio clips from Pierce in Texas, and umm, they, uh, were not quite, umm, they were...

You get the point. His ideas are nothing but recycled neoconservatism fresh out of the Woolite fluff cycle.

5. Other countries are televising type of graphic coverage we saw from Nam
Edited on Tue Mar-14-06 07:59 AM by Divernan
When I was in Istanbul last December, my hotel cable provided about 15 different channels from both Turkey and 8 other countries - mostly European. They all had more extensive coverage than the US stations, both of the war in Iraq AND stories out of the US. For example the US had just reached some kind of milestone in the number of executions/death penalties. And that was a feature story for the whole week on all the channels, along with the generalized reaction that this was barbaric.
The video coverage of war torn Iraq - burning vehicles, neighborhoods destroyed by shells and mortars, dead bodies, etc. It was deja vu back to the nightly coverage of Nam in the 60s.

It is easy to see that to the rest of the world, Bush's America, with it's pre-emptive war, appears to be the barbarian at the gate of the civilized world

10. yes...bush the barbarian is a barbarian.
just playing around with words here -- bush the barb/arian as in bush, the arian (as in white supremacist) barb as in (son of barbara).

bush the barbarian=the white supremacist son of barbara.

6. In other words...
Iraqi patriots use unaltered photos and videos to expose the truth of the American occupation to the world - and Bush wants Americans who may see them to ignore them and allow him to continue to murder innocent people.
