Time for us to get Russ's back. Call your Senators now.
Edited on Sun Mar-12-06 12:36 PM by The Witch

Get moving, folks.

Senator Feingold -- Russ to those of us who love him -- took a huge risk by going on This Week and talking openly about censure. He could be laughed out of office by those who want to dictate what's realistic and what's not politically --

unless we, the people, get behind him in droves.

So Call your Senators. Call your Congressmen. E-mail your friends, your neighbors, and your whole extended family. Call in those favors. Make sure everybody knows about this and everybody can't help but care. Tell them to support Russ Feingold and John Conyers, so that when those two come into work on Monday morning they will be greeted by a mountain of supportive e-mail and faxes and calls.

Talking points:
- Showing blind loyalty to a president who is breaking the law is not an inspiring sight.
- We may talk around it, but you know and everyone knows he's breaking the law.
- Even if you disagree, your constituents are voicing concern and it is time to listen to their voice.

Add your talking points in thread below, post your experiences calling.

Go.

4. Done- This resolution deserves 44 Democratic co-sponsers. I wrote this-

and I'll call tomorrow.

I urge the Senator to support and co-sponser Sen Feingold's resolution to censure the president for warrantless spying on US citizens, and, as per the resolution, because he "repeatedly misled the public prior to the public disclosure of the National Security Agency surveillance program by indicating his administration was relying on court orders to wiretap suspected terrorists inside the United States."

(btw, you really need to add "Civil Liberties" to the drop down menu on the constituent e-mail form)

Thank you
