Tweety Viewers: WHY?
The previews of todays show say that Tweety will be sitting down with the "Top 8 Republicans" :puke:
and the commercial seriously states that you will be looking at your new prez (though his webpage says the next GOP nod.) :puke:

This guy is the worst and people here at DU need to just write him off.
I dont know what he used to be like, but hes a big ole shill sonofabitch if you ask me.

MSNBC is good for KO and KO alone and thats fine by me.

why is he saying one of them is the next Pres? Isn't that a contradiction?

27. There's a first time for everything I suppose.
But not this time. The Republican party is back on its heels now. This November, it gets a push in the chest.

28. The only time I have ever watched
Fox is during hurricane season because they have these awesome animated graphics. I've never seen O'Reilly or some of the other folks I hear about.

Now, I think the regular Fox has some great shows.

But not as good as the Sopranos, coming on tomorrow!

6. Me too although my patience with him lately is wearing thin
His bias is becoming SO pronounced that it's nauseating. However, he has had Amy Goodman on as a guest occasionally, David Shuster's backgrounders are excellent, and I like that he has access to David Gregory whenever the WH press room heats up ...

13. He talked over her but at least he had her on -- the only show except
(the late) "NewsNight with Aaron Brown" to have her as a guest (at least as far as I've seen).

30. I actually do think I have one Tweety thread
I authored, so I take the blame! But he never really gets me down because like all the other ones, he's a talking head.

Sometimes he gets some good guests on who manage to get in a few Dem talking points now and then. He really has been leaning right lately. Although he's never pretended to be anything other than a good Catholic.

26. Informed? Tying to find truth and fairness on Tweety is a fool's errand
Do you remember how he treated Al Gore in 2000? How he has treated the Clintons since he first started breathing?
Anyone watch that POS is giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
Tweety ain't going to change.

31. Ahhh...but there is the issue
you can learn as much from propaganda as from anything else. You have to see the extremes in order to frame the issue.

Edited on Sat Mar-11-06 03:22 PM by chaumont58
do pay attention to anything he says. My gut feeling is that not many people care in the slightest what Tweety says about anything. I would bet the DNC has data on all talking heads. And the same for the RNC.

12. I stopped watching completely about 2 months ago
Until then I would switch back and forth to see if he had anything except right wingers and Bushies on. Then gave up on him for good.

His Sunday show used to be more moderate - but haven't seen that for a while - bet that has "tipped" as well.

15. Bernie Ward last night said Tweety is a Bohemian Grove attendee
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 03:45 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
and loves to hobnob with the rich and powerful at those annual closed-door festivities. Maybe Bush parades every year in a tight-crotched flightsuit to Tweety's delight. I don't watch the little turd and corporate media whore anymore. He's a very conservative individual and a Republican who only plays "hardball" with the left (recall what he did to Kucinich on the air).

Bernie Ward also said that Tweety has recently had the same ultra rightwing radio talk show host on several programs. I haven't seen the shows so I don't know who Bernie's talking about but I'll bet it's someone particularly disgusting and whacked out. Bernie said it turns out that this radio personality was the host at one of the political rallies of Tweety's brother, who is running for the office of Lieutenant Governor as a Republican.

16. a Grover, eh? Well that shines a light.
Did you know about Harry Shearer being a Grover as well? I was super surprised by that but I guess he has even made a movie making fun of the 'crazy pagan' stories we belive about BG, saying its just a big ole mens retreat, nothing weird. HA!

23. It's Michael Smerconish - Read this:
Why is Chris Matthews -- whose brother is running for Pa. lt. gov. -- touting "all" his family's love for Philly radio host Smerconish?

Summary: On MSNBC's Hardball, host Chris Matthews praised conservative Philadelphia-based radio host Michael Smerconish, despite Smerconish's history of controversial statements. But as Smerconish has made several recent appearances on Hardball, neither he nor Matthews has mentioned that Matthews's brother Jim, who is the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor in Pennsylvania, appeared at a political event in Pennsylvania that Smerconish moderated.

17. Matthews embodies
everything that`s wrong with corporate media today.

Step #1- Repeat White House talking points
Step #2- Declare talking points factual
Step #3- Assert that anyone who doesn`t agree is outside the mainstream and not worth
serious consideration
Step #4- Create friction and hysteria, potent ratings-grabbers
Step #5- Regularly belly up to the bowl of shameless self-promotion

20. Pssstt..... In the 24-54 demo.... Tweety can barely manage
150k pair of eyeballs....

More people live in Dayton Ohio than watch Tweety.....

MSNBC is worthless out side of KO... And he is balanced... A talking head with Journalistic Ethics... Not liberal... He looks far left compared to the rest of those knuckleheads....

25. I heard on CNN
That Frist bussed in "his" delegates to pad the straw poll vote ! Also, that McCain suggested everyone write in Bush's name to show support for the President ?

I'd like CM to address those interesting tidbits...business as usual for the GOP.

32. I finally stopped watchin Hardball....
after he started the ridiculous "Friday Hardball Hotshots" panel. The "Hotshots" :puke: consisted of fair and balanced :puke: Joe Scarbourough, Rita Cosby and Tucker Carlson demonizing Democrats while Tweety slobbered in absolute ecstasy.

That was when I finally got it through my thick skull that Tweety was a Dem-basher through and through.
