Ohio Mother Accused Of Dragging Children Back Into Fire

POSTED: 8:34 am EST March 10, 2006
UPDATED: 8:42 am EST March 10, 2006

CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland woman is accused of dragging her two daughters back inside their burning home after the girls ran to a neighbor for help.

Authorities said the woman ignited the fire herself.

The girls, ages 8 and 12, told investigators their mother was upset because the older girl had a boyfriend. The mother allegedly interrogated the girl while applying lighted incense to child's body.

Investigators said the woman set the house on fire when she didn't get answers, and when the girls ran out, she forced them back inside.

2. And people still believe abortion should be made illegal?
This is a perfect example of why some people are just not fit to be parents.

5. That's what we get for treating mental illness like a moral decision
and something that can be solved by prayer. We need mental health treatment and we need to remove the stupid social stigma placed there by thousands of years of religious superstition about possession and moral lapses.

Mostly, we need to get insurance companies the hell out of the medical system so that we can free up money to provide care for people who are clearly not functioning in the real world.

Mama was nuts. Mama needed a hospital, but she'll get jail, instead.
