Well, folks, we'll learn who OUR NEXT PRESIDENT will be
this weekend. Have you heard? The Southern Republicans are gathering in Memphis and "Picking the Next President".

It's true!!! Chris Matthews has been telling us this all week! MSNBC along with the rest of the media are in Memphis eagerly awaiting who they will "vote for" in November 2008.

I just wonder...if they are "Picking the Next President", why spend millions of dollars on campaigns and 'elections'?

3. I don't think they are that dumb. Nobody wants a dynasty
which is why Hillary won't get the nod from us.

18. I have a feeling, when Cheney
retires, and hopefully soon, he just might pick ole jebbie as VP. I'd hate to see that, but it's away to get jeb in the spotlite for running for prez!

2. We have a bunch of republicans here?
We also have the C-USA college basketball tourny going on. Who knew we were such a draw for events here in Memphis. My guess is Mit Romney.

5. Run!!! Far, far, away!
*wink*

I don't think it's going to be McCain. In fact, those Con Senators are fooling themselves if they think they have a shot, IMO. When was the last time the Cons selected a Senator for President?

21. They might try it but he's to liberal to win the south
it's nice if we get a southern state, but not critical like it is for them. He's pro-abortion, pro-gun control, cheated on his wife, and he's a catholic, I think. No way he gets the southern vote, they will stay home. Nominating him is giving the WH to a democrat.

7. They could put a three-nutted elephant on the ticket
With the unaccountable state of voting in this country, it would still win the *ahem* election

12. They may have to just to keep control of the Senate
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 11:33 AM by leveymg
Can you be a Senator and VP at the same time? The Gov of CT is Repub, I believe, so if Joemomementum resigned, his replacement would be GOP.

If Barney makes it to the Oval Office, we'll all be required to sing, "You love me, I love you. We're a great big fam-il-ee . . ." I swear, I'd be forced to claim asylum in Barbados.

16. She can't win the nom if she doesn't enter the race
I'm not convinced she will. She may decide to sit out in 2008 and really piss off the Cons.

Besides, if she ran, whether or not she won it would be the end of her career in politics (elected-wise). If she stayed as a Senator, she can look like the Energizer Bunny and keep going, and going, and going.
