Before the UAE deal was dead, all you could see on the MSM was Repubs
Now that it is a dead deal, CNN, MSNBC, and FOX are putting all the Dems out in front. Now think about it: That's to be able to blame it all on the Dems if anything negative happens as a result of the deal going sour. I am sure that the UAE is going to take some action to hurt the US economically because they want their money for their stockholders. Now the Dems will be ALLOWED to be seen on cable and MSM TV just so they can take the hit eventhough it was the Repubs themselves that shoved this deal up Bush's ass! And the Dems will take the bait...stupid as they are.

1. Very interesting Rovian move on the MSM's part
Ensure that America associates the UAE pullout with Dems in case anything goes wrong.

Good catch on your part! I'm not watching the MSM because, well, I stopped a long time ago.

2. It won't work.
If this has any negative consequences, it will only bolster the contention that the B*sh administration never should have okayed the deal, in the first place. This one is proving to be highly spin resistant and it's Bush's own damn fault for fomenting so much Muslim hatred, over the last five years.

3. What makes you think its dead?
They've never given up this easily on anything else. On the few roadblocks that they've encountered, they simply changed tactics. I think sooner or later, we'll find that to be true this time as well.

4. The dems should just keep pointing to
the bi-partisan effort that includes Republican Leader Denny Hastert.

5. the dems have nothing to hide from
the deal was bad policy period

In addition, the majority of Americans see this as a bad policy, including some extremely conservative ones

8. Bad policy right, but since when has that meant anything to dittoheads.
If something blows up, that's what they see and that's what will be spun against the Dems. Don't get me wrong, I am glad the deal is dead but I just want Dems to prepare for the obvious and be proactive instead of re-active to everything the Bushbots do.

9. I agree
and I am skeptical that the deal is actually dead or a diversion
