Simply BRILLIANT: Massachusetts plan helps veterans/ strengthen unions
Edited on Thu Mar-09-06 02:24 PM by blm
This is a good plan to implement in every state - get your Dem leaders on this, before the GOPs try to snag this idea, too.

This move will help veterans AND strengthen unions.

11. i'll take a wild guess - many on DU don't like pragmatic answers to
strengthening the Dem party, veterans care, and unions?

12. Many on DU are stuck in Right to Work Hell
I think it's a wonderful plan.

I think it's eminently doable.

I also think that Bush is, at this very moment, assigning his finest minds to the task of killing it.

Because who it's NOT good for is the guys who build 300 houses a year using $7/hour illegals. And those people are Bush Rangers.

Who matters to the Bushies? Veterans, or contractors with 500 illegal aliens on the payroll? Don't answer that.

This is gonna work fine in places where they've got unions, but RTW states will fight this tooth-and-nail.

13. i'm hoping folks will pass it on to their states - it's too good an idea
and even RTW states would feel some pressure or backlash from this.
