Somehow I think the Junta's plans didn't work out the way they expected.

First, they claimed Iraq had WMD just as an excuse to invade.

Iraq isn't a nice little war, over in a few months. It's a quagmire and is sucking down more and more money...and lives.

Now they're trying to sell us the same sack of horse manure about Iran.

What's the deal? Did something in their plans go awry? This just sounds like...stupidity. And while I think those who make up the junta arrogant, pig-headed, insensitive, without conscience, and cunning, I don't think they're stupid.

Some of you guys are good at thinking up scenarios like Robert Ludlum novels...what do you think? I think something went awry and threw their plans out of kilter, but I don't know what.
