2. She is doing a fine job, as usual!
She would be my pick, of a lady for our party to back for a higher office, instead of Mrs. Clinton. Barbara Boxer would be another good choice. Both of these ladies have earned a chance more than Hillary has.

3. I love her but they have her on a list for corruption.
Citizens for Responsibilty and Ethics in Washington, a group to which I belong, has unfortunately named Ms. Waters to the list of the 13 most corrupt Congressional members. I am very sorry to see her there. But here are the facts, judge for yourselves.

September 25, 2005

A watchdog group, naming what it calls "the 13 most corrupt members of Congress," is calling for ethics investigations of some of the most prominent leaders on Capitol Hill in a report to be released Monday.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington says in its report that the 13 members, among them Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) and House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), might have violated a variety of congressional ethics rules.

The bipartisan list includes three Californians: Reps. Richard W. Pombo (R-Tracy), Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) and Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-Rancho Santa Fe).

• Rep. Maxine Waters: The report cites a December 2004 Los Angeles Times investigation disclosing how members of the congresswoman's family have made more than $1 million in the last eight years by doing business with companies, candidates and causes that Waters has helped. Before publication of the Times investigation last year, Waters declined to be interviewed, but said of her family members: "They do their business, and I do mine."

7. I doubt if she is really guilty of any wrong doing.
Until I'd see proof I'd be skeptical. She's right about not being able to control other people. The GOPers are famous for the "He Did It Too" defense. My Mom and Dad always saw right through that defense, when I used it. I wised up in about the third grade and flew right. Some kids NEVER LEARN...

8. I sure hope that's the case
She is an eloquent spokesperson, we could use several dozen more just like her. There are always sleazy relatives waiting in the wings to profit off of some kin's success.
