Did anybody ever see the History channel's doc on the Anthrax attack?
I'm watching the beginning and here are some interesting facts I've gathered from this.
1) There are very few people who are able to make anthrax as good as the anthrax used in the attack.
2) Federal investigators found clues of who did it inside the bacteria itself. There are eight-nine different type of anthrax but each kind has it's own type of trail. This one lead back to our own defense establishment.
3) Some say that America was hiding a bio terrorist in our own defense system and the official government investigation was a sham(when has there ever been an investigation by a government that wasn't a sham?).
4) The only people who know about the subject were also the suspects.
5) It was an inside job with a real insider and they were being protected. They have secrets that nobody wants to get out (perhaps why they're still out there) and it will be too humiliating and embarrassing (unless they all were in on it in my opinion).
6) This attack happened only a week after 9/11 and was already beginning while the population was worried about another attack. (So they could do everything without being too noticed) The first attack happened two weeks later.
7) Anthrax can effect and hurt your brain. You can find anthrax in the soil, air and what it's important rarely if ever causes inhalation.
8) The first man who got attacked his colleague also got it which is extremely rare.
9) By October 11th, 2001 it was known by the scientists that the anthrax came from the Pentagon and the US bio-defense program.
10) This particular strain is supposed to be held very secure in the US Military and it's particularly strange how this person would have gotten this strain of anthrax.
11) A helper at NBC studios got a letter and a similar letter went to the New York Post. In the letter it told whomever got it to take penicillin. Why would they tell them that??
12) Ashcroft said that anthrax was not contagious even though there was no way of knowing the extent of the risk or if there were other letters and how many.
13) October 15th, 2001 Tom Daschle is majority leader and gets the anthrax letter. The envelope was disguised as a letter from a fourth grade student. At this point in time the anthrax was literally a vapor. Patrick Leahy got one as well later discovered luckily unopened in the post room. The school that was on Daschle's letter was a fake.
14) The FBI concluded from the letters and the anthrax that this was home grown terrorism.
It's getting late now so I'm off to bed. I still think it's mighty strange how people seem to have forgotten about the anthrax. I just started watching this documentary and thought about posting these facts. I apologize if this is stuff already known.
3. Did they mention that certain people in the WH starting taking Cipro
before the 1st attack was made public? Cipro is not a preventitive therapy, it only prescribed after infection. Was there a contamination accident in the WH?
Pretty obvious to me that they didn't want the Press or the Democrats to start asking questions about 9/11. Of course, that helped expedite the Civil Liberties Destruction Act.
I often think about it, and wonder why the White House keeps saying "we haven't been hit since 9/11" with no opposition from the press. Considering the press were the ones taking the brunt of it, you'd think THEY'D at least remember.
Anyway, very interesting stuff here. Kick and a recommendation.
