Don't laugh...but I found Gore's victory music for 2008
I was ironing and put the t.v. on to keep me company.
The next thing I know I'm tapping my toes and singing along.
And all I could picture was this music playing as thousands were cheering and singing along when President Gore came on the stage.

I'm not a fan of this artist, never really gave him a thought one way or another but it's a real toe tapper, very upbeat and GOD WE NEED UP-BEAT!

I told you now, don't laugh, and try to sing along, you'll see what I mean.

Cause you know, when duly elected President Gore takes his rightful place...the whole world WILL be singing.:D

It's Barry Manilow's......stop laughing...."Daybreak"

I’m singin’ to the world
It’s time we let the spirit come in
Let it come on in
I’m singin’ to the world
Everybody’s caught in the spin
Look at where we’ve been
We’ve been runnin’ around
Year after year blinded with pride
Blinded with fear

But it’s daybreak if you wanna believe
It can be daybreak ain’t no time to grieve
Said it’s daybreak if you’ll only believe
And let it shine, shine, shine
All around the world

Singin’ to the world
What’s the point in puttin’ it down?
There’s so much love to share
I’m singin’ to the world
Don’t you see it all comes around
The feeling’s everywhere
We’ve been closin’ our eyes
Day after day covered in clouds
Losin’ our way

Hey, but it’s daybreak if you wanna believe
It can be daybreak ain’t no time to grieve
Said it’s daybreak if you’ll only believe
And let it shine, shine, shine
All around the world

6. The lyrics are fine.
It's just........... ya know?

Could we get it remastered by, say, Black Sabbath?

Sperk, it's a good song.

7. I think of 'Serial Mom' every time I hear
that song. That's the favorite song of Kathleen Turner's character in the movie.:silly:

10. Like it. How about another one too: "Peacekeeper" by Fleetwood Mac
Peacekeeper take your time...
Wait for the dark of night
Soon all the suns will rise...

Peacekeeper don’t tell why
Don’t be afraid to fight...

This is not a test, it’s not a drill
Take no prisoners, break their will...

See and hear at:

11. How about some music from THIS century?
I'm sure we could dig up something suitably MOR. "Beautiful Day" by U2?
