Imus Producer Calls For The Beheading Of Kucinich
IMUS EXEC PRODUCER CALLS FOR BEHEADING OF KUCINICH

From the desk of
Michael O'McCarthy

To The Attention: NBC News President, Steve Capus
MSNBC CEO, Rick Kaplan
GE President, Jeff Immelt

Re: Comments made this date, March 08, 2006, by Bernard McGuirk - Executive Producer - IMUS In The Morning:

Congressperson Dennis Kucinich should have his "head sawed off."

This morning Mr. McGuirk remarked that Congressperson Dennis Kucinich should have his "head sawed off" like they do over in Iraq. It was in response to a audio clip of Congressperson's comment on the investigation of President George Bush/NASA authorized wiretapping.

Mr. McGuirk violated every sense of decency with this remark. To call for such a bestial act to be committed on a United States' elected official is far beyond any reasonable bounds of humor.

Suffice it to say that in the current intense political climate it only provokes those who have opposing and extreme views regarding the division between the current administration and those who support it.

More to the point, such a call for a violent, criminal act encourages terrorism towards an elected official.

Mr. McGuirk services to MSNBC and the IMUS show should to be terminated, now.

I am forwarding a copy of this letter to Congressperson Kucinich's office and to the FCC. I expect a reply immediately from your offices.

Sincerely yours,
Michael O'McCarthy
President - NPC --- The National Picture Company

Please distribute this email as appropriate to your offices.

CONTACT THE FBI - GE - NBC MSNBC (none / 0) IT IS TIME TO STAND UP AND SAY: "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore." Dennis Kucinich, along with the now deceased Paul Wellstone, is one of the few who have stood up against the Bush Cabal. The verbal assault on him this morning on IMUS is unacceptable. Use the net and your phone: Call and email all of the above demanding an investigation and the firing of McGuirk. Do it now...Stand up and fight. Let the Right Wing know you are NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE. Or you and yours will be next. Thanks, michael o

2. From Dennis
“I rise in strong opposition to this legislation because it offers only a superficial reform that will have little if any impact on safeguarding our civil liberties. Furthermore, it has become crystal clear that this Administration is currently and will continue to abuse, attack, and outright deny the civil liberties of the people of this country in defiance of our Constitution. The Administration is illegally wiretapping American citizens, illegally collecting information on peace groups, and illegally signing statements to ignore the torture ban recently enacted by this Congress.

“Some of my colleague will stand up here today and argue that the Patriot act has nothing to do with these nefarious activities. But my colleagues are not looking at the big picture. The Administration has violated the laws Congress has passed and is trampling on Constitution of the United States.

“I will not give the Administration any additional police power. Congress has failed to do its job as a coequal branch of government. The Administration’s attack on our democracy has to be reigned in. This Congress must not walk away from its role and providing a check and balance to the Administration’s exercise of executive power. This Congress was not zealous in oversight prior to 2001. But, since that time, this Congress has ignored its constitutional duty and 200 years of American democracy has suffered.

“The complacency of this Congress is clearly viewed by the Administration as a license to ignore the laws it disagrees with and it demands Congress pass expanded police powers. In the name of the Constitution of the United States of America I reject this complacency. I will not vote to give a single new police power to this Administration.

“I voted against the Patriot Act when it first passed, and I remain even more opposed to this legislation today. The bill before us today enables the FBI to investigate any American for any reason, without the checks and balances of the judicial system.

“History tells us that unchecked police powers with little or no oversight will be abused and the citizens will be harmed. The administration’s record in this area is concrete proof that history repeats itself.

“I am for a police function that protects citizens of this great nation, not a police function that is used to terrorize them. I urge my colleagues to vote against the Patriot Act Reauthorization; to stand up for our Constitution; to stand up for our Bill of Rights; to remember the long struggle that was instrumental in establishing those liberties.

13. I'm getting kind of upset about the violent language that's
getting thrown our way. I mean didn't Ann Coulter want liberals killed? Some other wingnut wanted to drown liberals. Now they want to behead us? I'm getting worried about what else is in that Kool-aid?

As I was listening to Stephanie Miller this morning she mentioned that Pat Buchanan had made a reference to "headband liberals"

:wtf:

Why are headbands so scary to them?

40. Peter King (Fascist-NY) said Tim Russell should be shot
On Scarborough's Nazi Country show, Peter King (asshole) said Russell is the "one to be shot" because Timmy had Joe Wilson on his show.

On a local rightwing nutjob's radio talk show, some brownshirt said mentally ill people should be killed, because really, what good are they.

Isn't that how old Adolf got started, murdering the handicapped and mentally ill. Evil.

I guess to some people, this is entertainment. They think these people are just joking around.

I don't think they are joking around, and perhaps it is time to leave this scary country.

that I periodically listen to his loathesome show. They dissed Joe Wilson who is the finest american patriot I've ever come across.

Today Imus himself insulted excessively Graydon Carter who as the editor of Vanity Fair was the singular voice to publish info exposing potential election fraud as early as April of '04.
He said anyone that went to the Vanity Fair party was a "loser." Guess he didn't get an invite. Or couldn't style enough or stay up that late.

This idiot Bernie espouses every right wing talking point at every given opportunity. They are far more often making fun of Dem than Repukes. If they had any balls at all they would have Boxer, Conyers, and Kucinich on instead of the ever compliant Bidan and Lieberman.

I'm so sick of media compliance. May just start to listen to tunes exclusively in the morning.

Yeah it's great that Imus raised 10 mill to help wounded veterens but shouldn't our gov be takiing care of them and more to the point why are they even wounded in the first place.
And his rambling on about toxic cleaning products and toxic vaccines is great but is far too often self congratulatory than not.

It's total bull. And this shit head Bernard is not worth the breath he breathes.

Kucinich is one of the only spiritual representatives we have. He has earned our respect and doesn't deserve this crap. He speaks a truth that bernie can't even imagine in his wildest imaginings.

Dennis always makes sense. Bernard never does.

15. Why do any of you listen to Imus?
I've never listened to his show and have only read about his (and, now, his producer's) comments on this and other forums. For the life of me, I can't understand why any of you would listen to his insane, sexist, caveman, idiotic rambling.

This one calls for some letters to the FCC - he needs to get his broadcast license yanked and a nice fine to go with it.

imus doesnt like bush. he is far too libertarian to like bush. he actually is good friends with john kerry and john edwards and has them on often. if you think imus is a right winger then you obviously dont listen to him often.

mcgurk does the lines he is given as written, with an occassional adlib. it is meant as humor and entertainment. to poke fun at people who actually think that way. to make people realize how stupid they sound.

did anyone realize that after mcgurk comments what imus said? probably along the lines of "you stupid bastard, what the hell is wrong with you, you loser"
and yes imus probably was pissed he wasnt invited to the vanity fair party, thus the comments about it.

lighten up people. its an entertainment show, not a news show.

wow the winner in taking words and twisting them and then completely lying about what was said goes to liviaoliva. congratulations on being a huge liar olivia, any words for the audience on your lies?

ann coulter did not present her statements on an entertainment show.

bernard mcgurk did. they were obvious scripted lines to generate a reaction from imus, which it got. to call mcgurk a bald headed idiot, etc.

mcgurk is the foil on the imus show. he says stupid shit, then imus yells at him and calls him names.

45. Quite a while ago I emailed the Imus show and expressed my
opinion that he and his posse were just bush's butt-boys. Then later on in the year I heard him use that term several times about certain republicans, and I got a chuckle out of that. So maybe he does read his email.

30. Amen, Ozark!
I personally have never been able to listen to more than 5 minutes of Imus. The guy is flat out unlistenable. Not because of his views, or his rhetoric, even, but because he is mind-numbingly soporific. I have enough trouble waking up in the morning without Imus forcing me back to sleep.

The singularly least-listenable show on radio. At least with Rush, Hannity and O'Reilly it's occasionally fun to listen to them go off the rails or see what kind of convoluted mental gymnastics they are going to engage in to justify the latest republican atrocity. Imus is just flat-out dull.

Jeez. I'm yawning just thinking about him. He should be on overnight radio to help out the insomniacs.

What more evidence is needed?

Where is homeland security when our own media calls for a terrorist act against one of our elected officials? Where is the "patriot act?"

I hope mainstream Democrats are taking notes, here. The opponent who offers the most threat gets the most mud slung back. He didn't call for the beheading of Hillary, Kerry, etc.. Why do you think that is?
