My politically tone-deaf wife and son ordered Domino's pizzas
in my absence. Sure enough, the damn things were sliced into perfect letter W's.

After my ranting which ranged from Ave Maria Law School to Walmart and the Outback Steakhouse, I don't think this will happen here again.

16. I'm a fan of the old country pizza
Cracker thin pizza where the flavors shine through. The stuffed crust is way over-the-top.

32. The one that looks over the top to me is the cheezy nips crust
that has little nubbies all around the pizza that you can grab and eat.

Otherwise we'll have to agree to disagree. I love the crust. Atkins disaster.

57. I just figured out....
if you put the pizza on a cooling rack instead of leaving it on the tray to cool a little, the crust stays crispier and is much better.
We cook it on the tray for about 10 minutes, then slide it off and cook it on the rack till it's done, then use the tray to take it out, then put it on the cooling rack. Then back on the tray to cut it, so no extra mess besides the rack.

The cooling rack makes a big difference--hope this is useful to you!

15. Dude... chill... it was pizza that your family wanted.
Granted Domino's is sucky pizza, but "sliced into W's ? And then you rag on your family ? Wow... take a vacation, a lude, or something.... As for rebuttal, you should provide photo documentation of said pizza so that we, the disbelieving public, can determine if each slice when removed and placed on a plate resembled a "W" or did it resemble the classic "triangular arch" generally associated with pizza. In other words, I'm calling bullshit on this post.... *grin.

And too boot you ragged on your family about it ? Sorry but I think you need to apologize to your family and stop posting inaccurate caricatures of your personal life... unless of course you can provide the photo documentation that shows a slice shaped like a W and not a triangular arc? *grin.

Sorry to make you a target here..its not personal, but the level of BS and hysteria lately is getting a bit high for my taste.. I figured it was time to start calling folks on some of the more outrageous stuff and your pizza post definitely qualified. *grin... its all in good fun as they say, right ?

28. Honey, you have nothing on this story.
I was gone for the day, a, probably quite nice, Republican candidate for our House district came by and chatted up hubby and the girlchild. He brought his "really cute" little dog. They are both politically tone deaf. They understand the big picture about George, but they don't get the voting for any Republicans is very bad right now. They both voted for this guy. We only have ONE Dem representing us in all of El Paso County. They could have voted for him. But, no, they voted for nice little retired military guy with the cute doggie. Our guy won anyway. But it was a major arrghhh... moment.

40. FYI -Monaghan sold most of his interest off in '98 to Bain Capital. He now
only owns less then 1% (.8%), Bain Capital owns 45%... I believe the rest is individual stockholders.

According to OpenSecrets.org Bain Capital has donated mostly to Dems ( 88%) and not as much Republicans (12%) in the past. OTOH according to NewsMeat and BuyBlue Domino's CEO (Brandon) and Domino's itself donates almost totally to GOP. Now compare that to Yum! Brands, which own Pizza Hut (KFC, Taco Bell & Long John Silver's) donates 90% to GOP, 10% to Dems. Pizza Hut Franchise itself donated 100% to Republicans.

Personally I prefer the pizza from this one local pizza place. Over the years DH and I have had a lot of pizza from many different places and this place is *the* best. They also have this deep fried onion strip and jalapeno's dish that with the dip is pure bliss. B-)

I mystery shop and a competitor pizza shop assigns Domino's for area shoppers to evaluate. If I did not buy the pizza then someone else would to evaluate for the job. They, however, do not get any of my personal money. I only buy from them when a competitor is paying.
