Heck, if people can actually become fluent in Klingon, that's not out of the realm of possibility. I know there were lots of Ferengi rules.

17. Replace "Ferengi" with "Republican"
Replace "Latinum" with "Money"

Replace "Vulcan" with "Democrat"

Pretty much says it all.

26. I believe that episode of Star Trek Enterprise
was titled "In A Mirror Darkly", I thought it was a most excellent analogy of the current U.S. state of affairs. It served as a stark contrast between the normal United Federated democratic notions of the universe or U.N. and the idea of earth empire, a neocon wet dream, they even played Wagner Music during the opening and credits.

10. Oh yeah right...and libs are all dirty hippies ?
This tread is really close to the very essence of repug politics and talk radio. Make a connection, offer fictional linkage, and proclaim it is truth. I understand your point, most repugs are about $$$ and personal gain. But lest we not fall into the left version of them by making similar claims of insight. We should be above that.... or at least I hope we are ?

Just an observation.... no malice intended.

12. HA! I've been saying that for years!
Even more so, Corporate America (which basically, IS the government anymore) are definitely Ferengi. Profit rules all actions.

I think the Religious Right are more like Borg--You Will Be Assimilated. Democrats are more like Vulcans.....thinking, analytical, intelligent, and unfailingly polite. We need a good dose of Klingon blood........
