Anyone ever make it through a column written by George Will?
I'll often read columns written by conservatives on the principle that it's good to know what the enemy's up to. I've rarely found anything in such columns with which I can agree, and I've often ended up ranting and throwing the paper across the room.

But George Will is a different story. I've occasionally started reading one of his columns and, assuming I can get halfway through, I realize that I have no idea what I've just read.

I've also noticed that something similar happens on Sunday morning's "This Week ..." show. Will starts talking, I see his lips moving, I hear english language words coming out of his mouth, but I have no idea what he's saying.

Anybody else have this problem, or do I have a rare case of George Will Attention Deficit Disorder?

2. There's only ONE I actually made it through ...
... which prompted a rather ANGRY response:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2478215&mesg_id=2478215

But I can tell you it wasn't EASY. I had to re-read several paragraphs more than THREE times just to try and make sense out of what I THINK he was getting at.

And you're so right - he's on-air rhetoric is even more convoluted than his writing!

5. My first was the one where he claims repukes are happier than
Liberals. And that southerners are happier than northerners. Were not southerners democratic for a little while there?

7. Yes. Can't recomend it.
It makes no more sense when you struggle through to the end. I used to try logic diagrams ... but they always wound up looking like spaghetti or running circular.

8. No, not so much
He's a great writer. I try, but, no - I've never been able to read a full column.

9. Charles Krauthammer is the worst read of all, it just seems like he's more
and more of a bitter withered old man with each passing year, that's how it seems to me anyway. Just pure PNAC venom.
