URGENT -- We Need Your Help!!!
Just over this weekend five Election Judges for Tuesday's Democratic Primary have had personal or family illnesses that will prevent them from serving. The party urgently needs people to serve as judges and clerks for tomorrow!! If there is no one to hold the primary in a location, that would mean moving the machines and ballots to another place overnight, putting up emergency signs at the scheduled place. There will be no way to change all the lists of voting locations, or to notify the voters, who may have been voting in the same place for many years. That means some people will show up, give up and not vote at all, or be so disgusted that they will not vote for our candidates this fall. We need all those votes.

If you've missed the training, we can still show you how to set up and vote people. We'll show you the ropes at the party office this evening. The county is using brand new machines, which are easier and quicker to set up and take down. If you can sit at a table for one day and sign in voters, call Karen Croyle at 214-821-8331 or email karen@dallasdemocrats.org . We'll set a time for you to come by and learn how to do it. This really is vital, not just to helping our candidates this fall, but to ensuring everyone an equal right to vote.

2. If each person were sick, or
had a v. ill family member for 36 days per year average.. that a 36/365 chance for any given day.
for 5 people = 9.3 *10^6.

Hmmmm.... no not odd at all....:sarcasm:

Someone ought to interview these people... (As a journalist not a Git, of course)
