In a funk. . .? this is an inspiring story

From: http://www.mellen-thomas.com/

his story is here http://www.mellen-thomas.com/index-1.html

Journey Through the Light and Back

After suffering from a terminal illness, in 1982 Mellen-Thomas 'died' and
for an hour and a half he was monitored showing no vital signs. Miraculously
he returned to his body with a complete remission of the disease.

While on the "other side" Mellen journeyed through several realms of
consciousness and beyond the "light at the end of the tunnel". He was shown,
in holographic detail, Earth's past and a beautiful vision of mankind's
future for the next 400 years. He experienced the cosmology of our soul's
connection to mother earth (Gaia), our role in the Universe, and was gifted
with access to Universal Intelligence.

Since his near-death experience, Mellen-Thomas has maintained his direct
access to Universal Intelligence, and returns to the light at will, enabling
him to be a bridge between science and spirit. He has been involved in
research programs and has developed new technologies for health and
wellness. With humility, insight, and depth of feeling he shares his
experience and insights.

He brings back with him a message of hope and inspiration for humanity,
delivered with a joy and clarity that is refreshing. His depth of feeling
and passion for life is a gift to be shared.

2. I ought to go talk with him about my own out of body experience
I can't return to the light at will, but I have always had some sort of contact with .... something... out there. When I was "fwee" I used to tell my mommy that angels talked to me, so this has been going on for my whole life.

I was thinking the other day about a girl I went to college with whose cousin's car had been found on the side of the road with the door wide open and her nowhere in sight. I don't think they ever did find her body. I was feeling very sad about this when I got a "message" stating that "It's ok, she's at peace now". Hard to describe the voice that talks to me. I don't "hear" it, I feel and it and understand the words they mean. And I do think it is a they in those cases, and they have a very kind but very authoritative voice. (My mom talks to me sometimes, too. Maybe it's just my subconscience serving up memories or predicting what she would have said in any given situation, but honest to goodness I went away recently and she nagged me to make sure I had my money!)

I think I might be a low, low, low grade psychic. I don't get visions (Except for a really bizarre case of deja vu as a kid, and another one of Jesus... also as a kid but I have a perfectly reasonable explanation for that one. No connection to God there, I don't think. Just extreme excitement of going to Disney World. *lol*) I have had only a few premonitions ever come true. I'm no ghost whisperer or anything like that.

So despite not being much of a two-way radio I do at least seem to be able to receive a little bit of info now and then.

3. There are many, many
such stories, and dozens of books written about the topic.

For me personally, I am convinced that there's an afterlife and there we figure out the lessons we learned or should have learned in this lifetime and we prepare to come back to try again, so that our soul can advance.

There are plenty here who simply don't believe any of that, and I'm not about to try to convince them. They're capable of making their own decisions and choices about what to believe, about what is convincing to them.

4. I'm a believer . . .
. . . in OBE's and the reality of NDE's. But this one hits my BS meter pretty hard. Not vitals for even 15 minutes and there wouldn't be a body to come back to.
