Right on target. Did anyone know about that bill put up by Dems to force the two parties she was talking about? My phone rang during that part of the conversation so I missed the details.

The caller said they were a democrat until the dems put forth legislation to outlaw any third party.

Permanent, 2 party only, government.

Has anyone else heard of this proposal?

Edited to add: This appears, at first glance, to be a sort of campaign reform bill, but it's capping how much money can be raised at the local level, which is what people feel will lead to squashing third-party competition with the "Big Two". I don't know if that's really what is in the bill. This is the first I've heard of it! Yikes! Every time I think I'm keeping up with stuff ...

8. I heard it and I'm guessing

she's referring to campaign finance reform, or lack thereof. It would be wholly unconstitutional to directly bar anyone from running for public office, as long as they meet the constitutional requirements.
