Here's How the Port Deal Can Help Dems Win in November
Edited on Sun Mar-05-06 08:01 PM by louis c
I have posted since day one of this port deal that this is our chance for a landslide in the off-year elections in Congress.

The numbers are proving my point, Bush's base is truly cracking. Although many Repukes may not join us, they will stay home if this trend can be sustained. Also, the indies will be even more in our favor, proportionately.

The 30 second spot that was used against us so effectively in the past is our primary weapon, now. Thank you, Mr. President, for handing us this issue. To those of you who want to tell me about "two wrongs don't make a right" please save it. I don't care how we win, I just want to win. We can't accomplish a God Damn thing if we remain in the minority in every branch of government. I'm 53 years old and I don't have the time to educate everyone I meet. If we can convince them by using the other side's cannon's against them, so be it. Here's my motto for the next two national elections, "just fucking win".

Harold Ford gets it. Here's how it's done.

1. Bush really
stepped in it as far as his Base is concerned with the port deal. I wouldn't be surprised if the slippery so-and-so manaaged to recover substantially between now and November, though.

2. One Repuke who has
I have been on a two 18 month transition. First after the election Kerry bowed out with grace and style while Bush arrogantly stated he had political capital. That was an eye opener. He could have been gracious but no. Then the Downing Street memos and more lies became exposed.

The list goes on and on. During this time some folks started to tell me about Kucinich so I researched him and other progressive leaders and their positions. I now see the need for National Health Care and an even playing field for all in education. The war needs to be managed by a completely different group. A group that knew the truth about the war from the start and Kucinich clearly has been consistent on this.

There are more of us. I home-school and many of my once "conservative" friends have gone through the same process as I have. We think for ourselves and we all now see we were duped to one degree or another. I voted for Bush last time holding my nose but that is no excuse but here I am standing with you guys to make change for the future.

3. You are truly welcome
We must all join together for truth to have any chance in this uncertain future.

Let me tell you that I cut my political eye teeth demonstrating and working against a Democratic President, Lyndon Johnson. That war in viet-Nam was wrong, and I did whatever I could to stop it.

As a Union leader, I could never support Clinton because of his trade deals. I voted for Perot. Guess what, Perot turned out to be correct on the global market.

I know how difficult it can be to admit you're wrong. I can't always support every Democrat. In fact, if I lived in Connecticut I'd be voting for the Independent candidate, Weiker, against that piece of shit Lieberman.

But I digress. Welcome aboard.

6. How is the port deal going to address election fraud?
Furthermore, why do Americans think fascists will be removed from power via elections?

(sigh)

7. What else is there?
If there are no free elections i may as well get off this site and mind my own business.

I certainly am not going to take up arms.

I will continue to believe that we can win elections even if the deck is stacked against us.
