People need to realize that trauma from war wounds is devastating - you don't have to be hit by shrapnel - the force alone scrambles your innards. Of course, if they detailed his wounds, people would extrapolate them to the soldiers and it would be intolerable. MSM will never show fresh wounds from a battlefield, they'd be considered pornographic in nature. When we go to fight and die or be disfigured, blinded, or crippled, it better be for a good reason.

There is a prevailing notion that modern day warfare is clean. It is anything but.

It would be a good story. And show just how awful some of these injuries are. All I ever see on TV are the guys with lost limbs who are up and around and running in marathons. But there have to be hundreds of others that have just been devastated.

I hadn't seen him on televsion very often and nothing really distinguished him from the other "talking heads" except that he had the most beautiful eyes I'd ever seen on a man. Since he was wounded, though, I think about him and his family quite often. For some reason, the idea of those beautiful eyes possessing a blank stare is too horrible to think about.

so I have the feeling his injuries might have been pretty bad.

17. I heard somewhere (sorry, no link) that he had significant head

injuries and that he would be moved in the "near future" to a rehab facility for further treatment. The report further reported that he has "a long, long road to recovery." That didn't sound good at all. They didn't say he was alert and "joking with family" (the apparent yardstick for recovery in the MSM), just said he was being moved without any indication of his status. That alone says volumes.
