Scum-sucking traitors to their country
By DOUG THOMPSON

The next time some loudmouth partisan puke Democrat gets in my face and starts yapping about how much better things would be if his party were running the government in Washington, I'm going to pull out the vote tally sheet for the USA Patriot Act in Thursday's Senate session and ram it down his lying throat.

Where was his party when it came time to take a stand for freedom in this country? Hiding like a coward, that's where. Only nine Democrats and one independent - former Republican Jim Jeffords - had guts enough to vote against reauthorizing the fascist piece of crap called the Patriot Act.

1. It's a world gone wild
And I honestly think there's nothing we can do to stop it from imploding.

Even the democrats are kissing Bush's ass.

We need to get rid of the lot of them and start over.

Vote them all out of office and let's have a new government, one where lying and cheating and favors are illegal, punishable by jail time.

2. Politics as usual by the "not as bad" party.
Gotta keep the brib..er, campaign contributions coming in and they certainly don't want anyone to think they aren't "patriots".

7. Apparently you are one of those that favors the Patriot Act.
Please tell us why...Are you so scared to death the muslims will get you that you are willing to shred our constitution? You like the idea an American can be arrested and spirited away to a foreign country and not allowed a lawyer or a phone call or due process of any sort based only on the word of one person? Whay part of the Patriot Act do you like?

4. Is like licking honey off a knife

Amerimacka

Miss Liberty turn inna Jezzabelle
All de dreams you go sell, de whole dem turn inna hell
Her bed of roses are filled with thorns
Her righteous robes are tattered and torn

If she had only stood for love
That would have been enough
She wouldn’t have to hide her shame
If she had only stood for love
That would have been enough
But now she’s burnt us all with her flames

Amerimacka
Oh what a beautiful life
Amerimacka
Is like licking honey off a knife

Amerimacka
Oh what a beautiful sight
Amerimacka
Oh what a beautiful life

The land of the free built on slavery
Our consciousness in captivity
The promise land is the liar’s den
Your culture of greed has got to end

Now we’re laying in the mud
Looking up above
Tear water just ah drop from the sky
They try to keep us in the mud
Separating us from love
But me nah go let dem conquer de I

Amerimacka
Oh what a beautiful life
Amerimacka
Is like licking honey off a knife

Amerimacka
Oh what a beautiful sight
Amerimacka
Oh what a beautiful life

5. I've always wondered what it was like to live in a Banana Republic.
And now I know. Minus the good weather.

This just shows that everything boils down to a class war - there's nothing ideological about it (unless you consider greed and power an ideology).

You should've heard Malloy go off on this yesterday.

6. Resolution and Reality
Oh Doug! How well you put it!
"fascist piece of crap called the Patriot Act."

I just sent a nicely-framed copy of our Resolution against the Patriot Act to be proudly displayed in our Town Office in Mount Vernon,Maine.. lest anyone forget how proud we should be, that we voted overwhelmingly, with show-of hands at Town Meetin',to censor this piece of crap in 2004. I worked hard to get it on the agenda, but it was the townspeople, even our arch-conservatives, who spoke up for our inalienable rights and put it over the top!
If only our Representatives in Congress had that kind of moral fortitude !

Also, I love your rants, and identify completely~!
Please check out my new Super-Heroine, Reality Chick! She really kicks someNeocon Butt!

enjoy!

8. Bill of Rights revoked
There are so many little known aspects about the Bush fascist manifesto Patriot Act that many of us will never know what they are until the Gestapo shows up.
Did you hear Mike Malloy on Friday? Pay down your credit card balance over a certain, unknown percentage than what you were previously paying and Viola! They notify "homeland security (SS meet HS)" and some fascist apparatchik will investigate the payment.
You know somthing? It's over. We lost. It's their country now.
Voting will not change it. The Dems are in bed with them.

11. Which are the Scum-Suckers?
The ones who voted for or against the Patriot Act?

Those that voted for are the Scum-Suckers and only 10 with a conscience spoke out...

13. K&R
Here is the short list of Democrats (one Independent) who still represent you and not the Corporate Paymasters:

Daniel Akaka (D-HI),
Tom Harkin (D-IA),
Carl Levin (D-MI),
Jeff Bingaman (D-NM),
Ron Wyden (D-OR),
James Jeffords (I-VT),
Patrick Leahy (D-VT),
Patty Murray (D-WA),
Russ Feingold (D-WI),
Robert Byrd (D-WV).

The rest voted with Bush and against freedom.

"Oh those who voted for the act will give us some propagandistic pap about adding protections for civil rights but those canges are just cosmetic crap. The act itself is a Constitution-evading invasion of basic American rights to privacy, and an abandonment of long-standing protections against illegal search and seizure.

If you think Bush was an out-of-control despot before, just see what he will do with the expanded wiretapping, surveillance and seizure powers granted him and his Gestapo-like Department of Homeland Security in the reauthorized act. Don't expect the House of Representatives to do anything to stop this act. The real battleground was the Senate and that battle was lost when Democrats joined with Republicans to sell out the Constitution of the United States."

22. Thank you for this list. Every damn one of the others s/be fired
Every damn one. Maybe impeached. Recalled. Run out of town on a rail. Whatever. Pick your method. But they have NO right staying in Washington to "represent" the people.

They neuter THEMSELVES by such actions. Later, they have no leg to stand on when they complain about the inevitable abuses that will follow (have already followed). All the GoP and Bush has to say, "Well, you guys voted for it, you must've thought it was a good idea then."

Bastards.

17. I'm confused... which side is this guy on?
At the start of this article, he sounds like another brainless Limpballs / Hannity listener, but at the end of the article, he talks about how both parties have sold out the constitution and how George W. has created a Gestapo-like police state with the "Patriot" Act. Huh?

18. I don't like the Patriot Act, but ...
I think the Dems. traded concessions for their votes. The thing was going to pass, regardless of what they did. They cared enough about the American people to vote for the Act, and get hammered by their base, just so that they could get the administration to weaken several of the Act's more onerous provisions.

That's my understanding, anyway.
