"De-volution"..."Unintelligent Design"....all there to see!
When the idiot son was first elected, my main complaint (oh, how naieve I was!) was that it was an insult to progress, intellect, and critical thought. Now, here we are, 5 plus years later - and the trend is clear. I am working from home and just did a run through the dials. What we have is a selection of "reality" shows - all sorts of inane, barnyard (sorry, animals), pathetic behavior being paraded for all to see. The airwaves are filled with snake oil salesmen pitching their BS to the ignorant masses. We have science being debunked in favor of the far right "belief" system. This is all so incredibly sad, seeing the results of the influece of an ignorant president making it "cool" to be stupid. And plenty are following along.

4. The children are my concern -

Bush worked hard here in Texas to ruin the public school system, and "no child left behind" is a continuation of his miserable policy. Texas schools have one goal - to teach these kids how to take the TAKS test, because the higher they score, the more money the school gets. There is no incentive to teach anything else except test taking.

So not only are adult Americans participating in the dumbing down that is occurring, our children are not being taught how to think and I'm scared as to what kind of adults will they become. Our nation has fallen far behind in the areas of technology and science and it's only going to get worse. A poll the other day stated that more Americans can name the Simpsons characters than our rights listed in the Constitution - it's embarrassing.

I can't recall who said it, but in observation of Bush - how can a man who never reads anything make decisions? How can he say he's completely confident he's making the right decision? The man is an intellectual moron.
