At what point do we not even have a country?
Lou Dobbs Tonight
Thursday, March 2, 2006

Put in your bid, America’s obviously for sale. Is there any
limit? The Bush administration has launched a national security
investigation into another Dubai-owned company, which is set to
take control of plants in Georgia and Connecticut that make
precision components for military aircraft and tanks.

CFIUS is also investigating an Israeli company's plans to buy a
Maryland software security firm, which does business with
Defense Department agencies. What’s really going on here?

This is getting totally ridiculous, where does it stop?

A major and catastrophic train wreck awaits us.

2. We have become a third world country
to be exploited by richer nations. I expect Bush to outsource our military next.

10. We already did.
We went into Iraq at the behest of Saudi Arabia. They know they are facing peak oil, and they want to limit their competition, so they hired the US Army to take out their competitors.

Iran is next.

12. "We have become a third world country"
That's what I fear.

We have few jobs, & extremely expensive healthcare that only the wealthy can afford.

3. Didn't we (read: the People) lose this country
back in the early 1800s? I mean when did the federal government actually ever look out for common people?

4. A history teacher of mine said...
it's not a country if it doesn't have a coherent government.

We're just about there!

:dunce:

7. It's a good question.
To what extent is the entire "United States of America" considered to be more than a general contractor subbing out various tasks for consumers? And to what extent does Bush want to eliminate it as anything but?

8. We have gone beyond the limit
There is very little left in this country that actually belongs to us. We are the worlds biggest debtor.

9. America's had a bar code slapped on its ass
...and is being sold piece by piece to the highest bidder. We the People are being reduced to window shoppers. It's happened plenty of other places.

Free Trade = shackled majority to benefit an elite international oligarchy.
