1. Whaaaat?? ....
 I have no idea what that's about.

I imagine it may have something to do with personal histories of these two folks. I'm just not aware of anything between them.

10. actually, I think it's Hitchens bashing...
Edited on Fri Mar-03-06 02:12 AM by Viva_La_Revolution
Ya see, Chomsky would have the grace and humanity to apologize, where as Hitchens is just, well... an ass. :)

on edit: okay, I checked out some of the others, and it's just a clueless asshole making fun of Chomsky. For instance, the one that has him depressed cause he didn't get on CNN... this guy obviously doesn't realize that Chomsky is on TV all the time IN OTHER COUNTRIES. They love him, our corporate fascist media is afraid of him.

3. I can't figure out if it's for or against Chomsky
Read the others in the series. It's mildly amusing.

6. I think it's a soft poke at Chomsky except for one...
One declares Chomsky to be a laughing stock at MIT; that one went too far for good taste.

4. I read the last three
not positive which side of the fence the jokes are coming from. I've never heard of this strip before. I'm sure if I read enough of them I'd see what his take is. I do feel a little stupid right now though.

5. Don't know the story behind it, but it looks like top-notch
posthistorical cartoon satire, engaging a hapless Chomsky in an ongoing conversation with a talking doggy sidekick, wherein Chomsky's concisely made points about socio-political power are contrasted with the cold hard realities of how America-at-large actually receives and comprehends "nooze".

Hey, I just wrote a review.

7. I think it's really funny
It pokes fun at Noam Chomsky in a friendly light-hearted way.

8. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever seen
As a Chomsky fan, I'm not so much offended as perplexed at the idea of someone having a long-running comic strip (I could only stomach 5 of those insipid pieces) devoted to making lame and hackneyed jokes directed at such a marginal figure on the American political landscape. Seriously, who is this clown? And could we maybe try a "sense of humor" transplant? Though if we can, Leno's got to be first on the list.

I'm a chomsky fan, too, but you have to admit that some of them are funny (if you don't take them seriously).

9. the series is as funny as a slow leak on a child's tricycle.
hardly edgy and dangerous, minutely irritating but mostly ignorable, and offering next to nothing in comedic value. and all this rushes at you at the speed of treacle on a cold winter day. the sad thing is that the subject matter could be hilarious, but as is it's so vague and middling it's a waste of time.
