media reported Bush's 8/28th Katrina videoconference on 8/30
I knew of the teleconference on 8/30 from this news report from the St. Petersburg Times and the AP even published photos from it... the picture which I used for the photographical timeline I made for my site (that i haven't added to in months... that is about to change)

Here's the article:
http://www.sptimes.com/2005/08/30/State/For_forecasting_chief.shtml

----------------------------
At 11 p.m. Friday (8/26) more than two days before Katrina reached land, the hurricane specialists said the hurricane would make landfall in the bayous of Louisiana, east of New Orleans. They pinpointed a town called Buras as the most likely place it would strike.
-------------------------

On Saturday (8/27)night, Mayfield was so worried about Hurricane Katrina that he called the governors of Louisiana and Mississippi and the mayor of New Orleans. On Sunday(8/28), he even talked about the force of Katrina during a video conference call to President Bush at his ranch in Crawford, Texas.

"I just wanted to be able to go to sleep that night knowing that I did all I could do," Mayfield said.
-------------------------------

This video just proves what we all knew... Bush is either unwilling or unable to lead with an ounce of competence.

1. I heard on CNN earlier this evening...that during these "Katrina"...
...meetings, that Junior didn't ask one question or make any comments. He had nothing to say.

The man was disinterested and disengaged.

According to CNN, the information about Junior's lack of interest was gleaned from video of meetings that the AP had taped.

Very compelling that the AP released these damaging tapes now. I predict that this house of cards is slowly falling--as the media, politicians and other power brokers see that Bush is no longer to be taken seriously. Everyone knows that his polls are tanking and will only spiral downward. They no longer fear him because they know he's done.

...Can't wait to see more video from other news sources, or hear from CIA, FBI, NSA or other whistle blowers who may feel comfortable revealing more damaging evidence against Junior.

4. On Scarborough's show tonight
he played this snippet of Bush offering to do all he could for the county and state level politicians. Can't remember seeing anything like this until after Katrina hit. Joey then spat out to the viewers, "there you have it folks, it wasn't on the Fed level, but everything falls to the state level". Wonder how much Rove paid him to say this?
