WHY does Malloy insult his listeners?
He just insulted his listeners saying we couldn't figure this out, like we need Malloy to tell us all this shit and we weren't capable to do it on our own, that we only care about hysteria...geezus christ, Malloy, what has gotten into you, that you have to insult your own (small) listening audience? You're driving everyone away. You made a good point obviously about Karl Rove operation, and then you insult progressives. And then you scream like a crazy person to commercial. Geez.

is a bit bombastic for my tastes, though I have to admire his courage.

I much prefer Hartmann.

7. I'm with you there.
It isn't his liberalism, which I share, that I find a turn-off, but his liberal use of the epithet "bastards" that makes him so abrasive as to be unlistenable. Hartmann's arguments are rational, engaging, and compelling, but Malloy's rants are just visceral chum.

He's kind of like a lefty Limbaugh.

of night he's on, there's about four other stations buzzing in on top of AAR. So I can't always deal with the cacophony, but I love it when I can get him straight with little interference at that time of night.

18. The problem I'm having with tonight's rant
Is that it comes across as if he's defending bush by saying the port deal is no threat. Whether the UAE is a threat or not, I think we should ride the wave against him right now.

After all, bush made his own bed by hyping up terror over the last five years. So if people want to cry chicken little, let them, as long as they're venting their anger towards bush.

His job, if I may say this, is to educate, inform, and voice his opinion on the pressing subjects of the day - right or wrong. If you don't like it - he himself will tell you to TURN THE DIAL!

His guy can make me laugh my ass off and in the next minute can make a growing man cry.

At this moment in time, if you ain't helping to get the repubs out, you're part of the problem. I couldn't listen to his shit anymore.

I like the guy, but he's no liberal. Hell of a nice guy, and he did a good job as prez, but he's also the guy who was gung-ho for NAFTA and supported welfare "reform" that ended up hurting a lot of poor Americans.

He did a lot of good, but he's pretty conservative.

Malloy has, and will, do more for our cause than a hundred 'sensitive' postulates from the blogosphere here.

Sorry if you're new, but some of us don't feel the need to apologize for our actions much more (too many years in the bloody trenches and all that), while many others have never taken the opportunity to do so, when it was so fucking obvious they should.

Sorry about your sensitivity.

No matter what he makes me laugh. I've had to rewind three or four times tonight to laugh again. Real Audio's TiVo-like interface is nice for that.

75% of the time I agree with him, but I do typically turn him off when he starts bashing Democrats or goes overboard on a rant (which he's close to tonight.) I understand his point, but politically it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I think he shoots himself in the foot and he's guilty at times of being as brainlessly reactive as the people he's bitching about tonight.

I haven't tuned in to his show in months. I'm glad he's out there banging away at he neocons, but it's too unsettling listening to so much anger all the time. It's a shame that there's such a need for this kind of talk radio, but that's what happens when you have to counter all the hatred coming from the rightwing for so many years.

I have no problem him giving a boot to the ass of the democrats every now and then. As a whole the party is in needs a fire under its ass, and thats from the liberal wing to the centrists.

At least once every show he goes out and openly says, dont listen to the show to find answers, hes there for those of us that want to rant and blow off steam. He's even suggested tom hartman for those who would like answers.

55. never take talk-radio, liberal or conservative, personally..
Edited on Tue Feb-28-06 02:15 AM by flaminbats
I remember calling his radio program for the first time, over ten years ago! I loved his show and he was hosting Democratic Congressmen to answer callers' questions during the 1994 election. When I called that night, I asked if he would consider inviting my Democratic Congressman to be on his show. The following response from Mike broke my heart..."he isn't a Democrat, if you want to be a dumbass go ahead, that doesn't mean I have to!"

A year later my Congressman switched parties..Mike was right and couldn't have said it more truthfully! Mike can be extremely rough..even to his longtime truthseekers, but that is what keeps people listening. Mike doesn't just say what he is thinking, he puts it in the boldest terms possible.

I know how you feel, but believe me..time heals all wounds. ;)

64. Have listened to Malloy for years
back when he was on WSB-AM in Atlanta. He's not afraid to call it what it is. If you want your hand held and told that you're a good person and it's gonna be alright, stick with Hartmann.

65. I stopped listening after he told a caller they should kill themselves.
He tried to backpedal and say it was a joke but clearly it wasn't. Just to much screaming and rambling for my tastes. I always pictured Kathy waiting in the background with a defibulator waiting for him to pop.

That being said I still support him having a show but its just not my kind of show. I am a Young Turks fan myself.
