So both Fukuyama and Buckley have declared the war a failure now?
Francis Fukuyama, one of the major architects of the neoconservative movement came out the other day and said that he can no longer support what he says neoconservatism has evolved into. Today, William F. Buckley, the father of the modern conservative movement and someone who Rush Limbaugh greatly admires and has had on his show before, has declared that the war in Iraq has been a failure. What's with both of them doing this nearly simultaneously? Are they trying to somehow set themselves up to look blameless when civil war breaks out for real in the next couple of weeks? It just doesn't seem logical that both of them would do this at once, especially at a time when Bush is getting throttled over the ports deal. Your thoughts?

1. The good thing is, the right wing movement is self-destructing
as all movements, liberal or god-hating conservative fuckwits, must eventually do.

But unlike most self-destructions, this one is gonna be majorly fucking CATASTROPHIC.

"U.S. should leave Iraq "as fast as humanly possible" because "there are so many nuts in the country"

Sure, he's the one who's nuts, but he did change his tune and says get out.

Remember, it's always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Do you remember the 13 year old Iraqi boy who we shot his arms off in Franks Shock and Awe Campaign? I think about him so much.
