PBS' NOW Reaction Thread

What a thought provoking show. The Maine health-care program Dirigo is definitely a step in the right direction. So sickening to listen to the insurance companies bitch when it has been found that they saved over $43 million! Sick bastards.

I didn't know that this could possibly affect to Dem governor in such a negative way. Looks like all the weapons are drawn. Input from Mainers would be welcomed! :D

3. They were supposed to enroll 30 odd thousand, and...
the total enrollment was somewhere around 8 thousand. That may not have been good enough news to some people who don't pay attention, but I gotta tell you, this is THE right direction on which to step.

Big insurance companies? They have to be scared. And they carry big lobby weight. I may not be from Maine, but I can see how this solution WILL quickly be adapted nation wide, and we need to realize the when everybody does better (health, in this case), EVERYBODY does better!

4. Definitely the right direction
Besides, no program will reach its goal immediately. It's sick that these companies are profiting well off of people's health.
