Well Now! Pete King Saying IF Investigation Of UAE Looks OK
he will take a look at it and see. Yesterday and the day before he was absolutely ADAMANTLY against it.

As I've been saying since this surfaced... Repukes are going to find SOME way to follow King George as if he were The Pied Piper! And before you say it will "kill" their election chances, think what it will do FOR the WH! They will ONCE AGAIN get their way and forge ahead as they have these past five years.

I would wager a bet that we only know about 1/4th of what has been really going on with "the corrupt ones!" I feel that they have probably more under the table deals than you could shake a stick at!

Yeppers, Pete all that heat is turning to smoke now! How convenient can that be???

1. BUT the WH is NOT doing a revestigation-they are ONLY educating
explaining, etc etc. NO reinvestigation has been ordered.

10. Warner doesn't have a problem with the UAE takeover
If King flips, then it will be choir practice.

No dissent. Timmy fucked up, he should have booked a Dem.

8. Rove grabbed him by the balls. This is $$. And power.
Rove got to him. Threats, no doubt. King caved. Big surprise; the GOP would let Bush close down the Constitution. (The Dems would express concern).

11. HAHAH... I posted earlier today that King would do that on the MTP thread
My post:

1. I think Pete King's a set up - he "leads" the battle so when he "accepts"
it with a few assurances, then we can all relax because even one of the deal's "critics" is now satisfied.
Sorry, but that is the way BushInc works - and Pete King is TOTALLY MADE MAN for the BFEE.
Alert

12. I got the impression that Pete King was VERY pissed and not backing down
He went on to say how these 'cooling down' periods tend to take the steam out of these investigations. He's moving ahead introducing legislation. He said he would look at any evidence they had but he couldn't see going into the November elctions with this deal having gone through.

15. That Was An Afterthought, But I Didn't Get The Same Impession
you did. He said he couldn't see how it would be good for the Repukes going into and election, but he never said he was so fervently against it as he had been! That was very telling to me.

13. That's good..
... it gives Dems a way to differentiate themselves from the whole Repub machine.

Here's the thing: do you think the voters, the average American, is going to change his/her mind on this issue? I sure don't. They can spin until they are dizzy, it's not going to work.

16. I tend to agree; toothpaste can't be put back in the tube, and
Americans are adamant they don't want the ports run by a foreign government, especially one with 9/11 ties.

14. This Is A Signed Deal Already Anyway!
How they're going to be able to FUZZ it up is going to be interesting, but FUZZ they will!

We can only hope that "We The People" make sure we call Congress and let them know just what we think! Here in Florida it will be a bit useless, but I'll write and call other state Senators and Congressmen. There will many who won't give a rat's ass, but that's what we need to do!

And the UNIONS need to keep the pressure on to!

It's already started because CLINTON has been interjected into this whole thing. And for sure, Ports are "managed" by other countries, many of them, and many done during the Clinton Administration. But this is ANOTHER Government, not just a Corporation from ANOTHER country!

As I said, FUZZ is on the way!!
