A way to reach the other side
Speak directly to the poor farmers and factory workers. Ignore the RW pundits.

"Wouldn't YOU like to see your child go to college without a backbreaking amount of debt? We can do it. We can guarantee any child who works hard and takes school seriously goes to college and comes out of it more prosperous than you could ever have imagined. All it will take is for you to vote Democratic."

1. WE will guarantee every American will be able to ge a job That pays
a LIVING WAGE. Everyone will have HEALTH CARE and we will be secure by being and having a STRONG ECONOMY at home first. WE Will enforce FAIR TRADE deals That do not force good hard working Americans to compete with Prison labor or slave wage labor in undeveloped areas.

3. it's a pitch that needs to be made
Unfortunately, the history of the past few decades has been people ignoring their true economic interest in favor of their hot button social issues, be they abortion, prayer, gay rights, or gun control.

4. Yeah, but how much longer will that work?
It's not about THEIR economic interests...it's about their childrens' futures.
