Poll question: Will Union-busting Bush go to the funeral of the WVA miners?
It's the kind of "photo-op" I can see him making. Even though his administration has been anti-union and has been all for cutting back on regulations like those which could have protected those miners.

What do you think? will he go?

1. I can't see him doing it
after he hasn't attended the funeral of ONE of our military killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. Then again, there's no limit to his stupidity.

2. compassionate conservatism means never having to go to funerals.
You know, "I paid at the office; therefore, my soul is in cold storage and I can kill as many people as I want form Texas to Iraq and back."

10. Excuse me, but everything I have looked at today says
all of the miners were killed. Was I dreaming last night when I watched as they brought the TWELVE surviving miners out and took them to a hospital to be checked out. What is going on? There is ONE miner dead, not twelve. I despise all of the misinformation I am seeing. And these posts are dated the 4th of Jan , not the 3rd.

6. No I don't think he will... However,
the WV mine wasn't union. If it was there were would have been a higher emphasis on safety.

15. Which was a contributory cause of their deaths.
Unionized miners have more right to complain. They get paid more. (It's still not a job I would like.)

But Bush & his folks are making Unions weaker. And also removing safety regulations.

12. If he goes to one funeral of someone he had a hand in killing..
he'd have to go to them all, now we can't expect him to do that with his job of presidentin' and all!
