Alright, I watch "American Idol" (go, Taylor Hicks, go!) and was interested to learn that the dad of Idol Finalist Ayla Brown is a MA State Senator (Republican). Does anyone here live in his district?

State Senator Scott Brown represents the Norfolk , Bristol , and Middlesex District, in the Massachusetts State Senate. Senator Brown was elected to the Massachusetts State Senate in a special election on March 2, 2004, and was re-elected on November 2, 2004.

Previously, Senator Brown served three terms in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from the 9th Norfolk District. Prior to his election to the House in 1998, Brown served as a Wrentham Selectman for three years and a Town Assessor for three years before that.

Of the 40 state senators in Massachusetts, this guy is one of six Republicans. It was just odd to see a Massachusetts legislator smiling next to Mittens, since most of them can't stand the guy.

It *is* suspicious that they're both so orange, given the weather here.

I just bought his CD "Under The Radar"... I listened to a few tracks, I really, really like the guy and his music.

Ace is easy on the eyes (he looks like a more-handsome Kevin Federline) but I don't think he has the best voice of the very talented lot.

BTW, I've been an Idol-Watcher from the first season... and was rooting for Kelly Clarkson from the auditions. My husband just tolerates it.

This is the third time there's been a finalist from the Birmingham area. Reuben Studdard was the winner one year (my son's trombone teacher plays in his band). Bo Bice from last year lived just down the road in the next little village. And now, Taylor Hicks!

I love his quirky body movements! He's so strange, and fun to watch!
