1. Isn't the Carlyle Group by invitation only?
I mean I couldn't buy shares if I wanted.

6. I think that Dole may be one of the few former high government figures..
that don't hold shares of Carlyle.

Bush I, James Baker, Tony Blair, John Majors, Frank Carlucci...

The Guardian called it "The Ex-President's Club"...

and you know if there's a dollar to be skimmed from the US treasury, some member of the BFEE is in on it. Did you also hear about Neal Bushs' "software" company being financed by UAE? Lou also exposed that little ditty last night.

...the CEO of the Dubai company on CNN. He was your typical rich white guy. An american who claimed that all the employees of this company were also american. This is probably an american company that has outsourced itself for money and no taxes. It's not about the War on Terror...it's about the War on the Middle Class!

8. Here's a link to the transcript
CHRISTINE ROMANS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice over): The oil-rich United Arab Emirates is a major investor in The Carlyle Group, the private equity investment firm where President Bush's father once served as senior adviser and is a who's who of former high-level government officials. Just last year, Dubai International Capital, a government-backed buyout firm, invested in an $8 billion Carlyle fund.

Another family connection, the president's brother, Neil Bush, has reportedly received funding for his educational software company from the UAE investors. A call to his company was not returned.
