Denver military trains and *'s determination to do the port deal
I have to run to a local Dem meeting, otherwise I would gather the links I'll refer to, but here are some thoughts.

Recent observations:

- 1 -
I heard a rerun of Hannity's Monday show today. He was as much pissed off as everyone else is, and had done a bunch of research trying to figure out why. His conclusion was that there is a major air base in UAE which has been used for over a decade in (I think the name is) "Operation Southern Watch" or something to that effect. It was the US flyovers of Southern Iraq during sanctions and was purportedly instrumental in refueling operations.

- 2 -
Look at Bush's deadset determination to do this port deal with UAE, then look at a map and the relationship to Iran. Combine that with the geographical relationships to Afghanistan and Iraq. We have Iran cornered from 3 directions.

- 3 -
A DUer earlier today reported military shipments of the scale we saw in late 2002/early 2003 before this Iraq disaster. (Anyone else seeing similar equipment movements in other parts of the US?)

- 4 -
We have seen numerous reports over the past month or two about the being a late march timeline to attack Iran. If that's the case, item 3 (equipment movements) fits right into that timeline. It probably takes 3-4 weeks to move equipment to the coast, onto ships, and into the ME.

Conclusion 1:
Shrub has already made the decision to attack Iran. He traded use of the UAE air facility for the port deal. The crazed motherfucker is going to go for it regardless of any of the many concerns and reasons not to do that.

Conclusion 2:
People better start planning the biggest damn mobilization into the streets anyone has ever seen, and it would really help if we could find common ground with the Right and join forces on this shit. It's got to be stopped for all the obvious reasons!

2. It does seem...
....* has a lot riding on the ports deal. I don't think he ever threatened a veto before... but now, on the ports deal he has!

There is some deep underlying misdemeanor about the whole port deal.

Maybe the free press will investigate? :sacrcasm:
