Sirius just announced TWO Fox stations coming March 14! talk and newz
So they'll have hannity's radio show and his tv show, along w/o'lielly et al.
:puke:

So, Help me with a project....

I would like to start an email/call in campaign to Sirius, but I want to include a suggested lineup to fill a whole new channel with live programming, and of course, it probably couldn't/wouldn't be AAR.
Forgive me if I'm not more familiar with all of our talk programs.

The lineup on their current channel:
6-9am Bill Press
9-12 Alex Bennett :boring:
12-1pm Thom "the ironman" Hartmann :headbang:
1-3pm Lynn "nails on a chalkboard" Samuels
3-6pm Big ED
6-9pm Young Turks
9-10pm Replay Stephanie Miller
10-? I don't know, never listen this late...

A tentative starting list(all times eastern):
6-9am Empty (Doug Stephan)
9am-12pm Stephanie Miller
12-3pm Thom Hartmann
3-6pm Empty
6-9pm Empty
9-? Empty

Nothing set in stone I need input
Feel free to break up the hours differently, etc..

I suspect an effort to get AAR back would have broad support, but i'm not sure of their contract, etc with XM. A new path may be needed to bring more lefties to Sirius.

Thanks in advance for the help, DU! :hi:

3. May I ask
why no XM for you? We love it. I'd like to see some changes in the AAR lineup, but we do love having XM.

5. Probably still believes the bovine stuff that 'Clear Channel Owns XM'...
.. no matter HOW MANY TIMES IT'S BEEN PROVEN UNTRUE.

9. No. I don't like the fact that they can just screw with programming and
I have no say even though I'm paying for it.

I don't like how Sirius handled their programming changes and I decided I wasn't going to go through it again.

6. Not the Clear Channel "BS" at all
I just like the music selection better plus the NFL, NHL, NBA, Howard Stern, Bubba the Love Sponge, etc.

I do miss AAR, but I still keep up by streaming at home. Plus, we have three Sirius receivers.

7. LOL
That does make a difference. We have 2 XM receivers in the house and just purchased a car we pick up tomorrow that has XM factory-installed. (Didn't buy the car just because of that, but it was a must-have option. We take a lot of long road trips.)

12. Three Hours of Thom or Fight!
Sorry, one ain't gonna do it for me. He does six hours of radio a day serving the progressive community. He deserves to have one or both shows on full time. Call me grumpy, but I'm stopping here. Harrumph etc.
